Maybe I should not admit this, but I had fun this week in real estate. Yes, the market is still challenging and getting loan approval takes stamina, patience and lots of scrutiny of a buyer's past performance and deeds, but hey, those easy come, easy go loans are part of the reason the real estate market is so exasperating today.
It is nice to experience a resurgence of life in the local real estate market.
Signs of renewed energy and life in my local real estate market:
- Some past clients are indicating they think the time is right to buy investment property, and others are ready to move their dream house desires off the back burner. It is amazing what a dose of buyer's confidence will do for an agent's mood!
- I experienced another rush of mood altering endorphins-listing calls and appointments are up. A welcome sign of increasing seller confidence.
- I received an "I'm so happy" call from a buyer who closed two weeks ago on her first investment property.
Yes, it was a sweet week from my view of the real estate world.
