Texas Recipe of the Week-My Moms Frito Salad

Here's this weeks Recipe coming to y'all from deep in the heart of Texas Kitchens!

I grew up with this one, and have always loved it. As a matter of fact, I made it last week, it's easy, and delicious, it has some crunch to it.

Ingredients:

1 pound of lean ground hamburger or lean turkey (I use turkey)
1 small bottle of French or Catalina salad dressing (use about 1/2 bottle)
1 small bag of Frito's ( I use the Chili Cheese ones)
1 can of Ranch style beans (drained)
1 small package of shredded cheese ( I like the Mexican blend, but you can use sharp cheddar)
2 tomatoes (diced)
1 small onion (diced)
1 small bag of garden salad (pre-mixed iceberg, carrots, red cabbage)

Directions:

Saute onion and ground meat until done. Let cool for a few minutes. Add remaining ingredients and mix until everything is coated well. You don't have to buy the ready made ingredients, but it makes it so fast and easy.

I was going to cook the other half ground turkey tomorrow for dinner and I was going to go look a new recipe to try so I read this recipe just in time. Thank you for sharing it and I am looking forward to hearing his feedback on it (I am a vegetarian). I love adding to recipes to my collection.
