Hurray! I just closed another short sale yesterday morning. I'd been working on this one since April 10. Ths one was with CitiMortgage. Even though it took a long time to get through, this lender was one of the better ones in which I've dealt. Once the file was assigned to the negotiator, he always replied fairly quickly, and was always pleasant.
Unlike Bank of America and Wells Fargo, in which you never hear back from the negotiators... They are horrible in which to work, in my experience.
I had to contact HUD for help on my Reber Place short sale this week. They just will not respond to calls, emails, anything. It's horrible. I've twice negotiated with an attorney on this file to reduce a judgement against the homeowner, to keep under the $2500 allowed by HUD. I cannot get it reduced any more, and time keeps dragging by, as the master lein (sewer) continues to increase. Because Wells Fargo keeps dragging its feet, the two leins are going to surpass the $2500 allowed by HUD, and the home WILL be foreclosed on, even though I have a buyer that was ready to close in the first week of September... NUTS!
Anyway, following is a testimonial from the homeowner on Neosho, who I was able to help.
