Profile Photos on Active Rain

I'm glad AR is now accepting HD photos for the profiles, but wouldn't it be terrific if they gave us a bit more control over the size or shape of the photo. After all, one of Active Rain's strong suits is showing the world how different each of us are. I'd like to have a personal favorite photo uploaded, but it doesn't fit the format allowed by AR.

Just venting.

Yeah I have to agree. I was able to get my photo in but I had to settle for a "the best portion" and not the entire thing.

I have the same comment . . . can't use it due to sizing constraints! I just wish some people would really change their photo. (Alright already, we know you got married . . . can you change that photo of the BOTH of you from your wedding day. Now THAT's a vent!! LOL)

There are many online photo editing sites that should allow you to make changes ranging from basic editing, cropping, resolution, even the file type. If you really have a photo you like ask someone with some tech savvy if they can help you out and modify the image so you can use it here. You may even have some software on your computer that can do it already.

Shane - Thanks for the comment, but when you change a piece of artwork, it's not the same artwork. Example: A photo which is set in a rectangle shape looks much different when forced to show in a space the dimensions of a square.

You can upload photos in the various sections of your profile. I just wish they would allow GIF's for the profile shot. That way I can have my logo morph into my pic, a marketing message, etc.
