Chris Ann

Nice shot for a Sunday !

We have several similar buildings nearby even though I doubt many or that old. I love old church buildings and photograph them all the time.

Carol:  Sunday seemed the perfect day to share it.

Pat:  It doesn't look that old.  It's been wonderfully maintained.  When my friend and I pulled up there was a daycare class out front.  Their teacher was the one who told us it was celebrating its 150tj anniversary.

Roy:  Somehow I have developed a crick in my neck that has gotten worse over the course of the week.  As soon as my Advil kicks in, I should be in good shape.  For now, just staring forward at the computer screen.

Leslie:  I have become much better with my photo editing.  Thanks!

Myrl:  It does!  Probably what made my friend and I stop.

Caron:  I feel the same way.  They do look inviting.

Trey:  I don't even know where this one is located.  My friend was driving me to a little restaurant in the boonies.  I have to say, sometimes it's nice to not know where you are.

Chris Ann-Terrific photo.  This church would have fit in beautifully in my series on historic churches in our area last year.

Chris Ann, great way to start off this Sunday morning. The walk up to the front door looks very inviting. Thanks.

Cindy:  I bet that was a neat series.  I'll have to fire up the Cindy Jones search engine and take a peek.

Michael:  Thanks.  It was the picture that spoke that most to me as well.

Now that's more like it. I just did a post on a church I saw yesterday that inspired me to stay away.

Very pretty, Chris Ann! I like the way you framed the shot--the church looks very welcoming at the end of the path.

Cheers,

Robin

Russel:  Yeah.  I stopped by and saw it.  Looked like a porcupine.  No spikes on this one.  :)

Monique: In my opinion, simple is what I think churches should be.

Pat:  I wonder what it looks like inside.  I didn't even go in while there.

Tony & Darcy:  Thanks.  I'm glad you liked it.

I just love your photo Chris Ann. Older churches have such a serenity about them and when you walk in you can almost hear the hymns being sung. Cades Cove is a beautiful area near us and they have a few old church buildings as you go through the grounds. CADES COVE INFO

Awesome! The church's design is pretty simple yet so admirable. 150 years could tell the story how great it is..

Jonelle:  There's a lot of old "stuff" in our area.  We're pretty lucky that way.
