Please Sign This Petition To Motivate OUR Founder.... ALEXANDER HARB!!!!!

There are 1365 subscribed members of Christianity & Real Estate. We became this BIG primarily because of the lone footwork of our founder, ALEXANDER HARB who was led to open this forum January 25, 2007, where he humbly posted his FIRST invitation to join.

There were a total of FIVE posts written by him at the very end of that month, and when February came, he wrote 6 more to be posted exclusively for the Christianity & Real Estate audience. Alex continued to encourage the Active Rain community with his evidence of love and care for humanity. One such post was written in the month of April that same year titled, In View Of The Massacre . Many responded to this post by praying for families of the victims of the Virginia Tech mass shooting.

Alex was proving to be a very vital leader and community organizer here in Active Rain, and more were taking note of it, especially new members who hurried to join up! I think i joined somewhere around July of 2007, and see that i responded to a well read post of his named "A Perspective On Forgiveness".

Christianity & Real Estate began to grow to such an extent that moderators were needed to assist with so many postings by members eager to share uplifting words to every one. One of the first was Elizabeth Nieves, and Alex wrote a post to introduce her to the the C&RE family... others were chosen later for a total of 10.

This brings me to the purpose of this petition..... ALEX needs our help to get PUMPED BACK UP!!!! Changes have cause him to grow a little distant, and how many of you know that WITHOUT a leader we cannot stand! Here are Alex's very words on his first post....

"This will NOT be a group where the moderator creates the group and disappears like I heard so many of you say recently. I will visit it every day and I PROMISE to be someone you can talk to and get to know."

Please sign this petition by leaving an encouraging word and/or prayer for Alex and the group, to let him SEE that we need him to stand!!! Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

I have been without a full time job for over 5 months...... I have no car (I had to sell it), no job,
and I depend on church members to bring me to services and to church events..... I don't even
have enough money for bus fare to go across town to try to go to interviews.

I was evicted from one place where I was living and I almost got evicted from the current place
I am staying at.

My sister has said she would pay my rent until I got on my feet, so thst is a blessing... BUT:

I only have one days worth of food left in the place I am staying....

I DO have some hope of a position with a Perkins restaurant nearby, but I have yet to hear from them.

I have sent out so many resumes, e-mails and I have made MANY MANY phone calls... plus
gone on interviews also........all to no effect.

I have had many buyers say they are ready to purchase a home, but nothing is happening... even if
I try to give referrals to other agents for the completing of the transactions.

God is doing things in my life I never thought he would do... BUT things are happening.

My excitement for even the most mundane things in life is gone...... I am not even excited when I
eat a meal... because I am not sure where the next one will come from.

I trust God will get me through this...... I am just trying to hang on until the lessons are all over.

What is so precious to GOD is the DEATH of HIS saints! And as we die outwardly, HE will NEVER forsake or leave us. We do walk by faith and have our times of testings. This is one of your seasons. In it, remember to count it ALL JOY Alex, for you are becoming an over-comer with something to overcome!

GOD is our source and HE promises to deliver. See, Alex, God seeks to get glory for HIMSELF out of your life by ridding you of dependence of everything but reliance upon HIM! He wants no scants of the world upon you and will strip you HIMSELF! GLORY!!! Does this feel or look good???? Heck NO!!! But God KNOWS what HE is doing! In this. He beckons you to come up higher, for your outlook now is upon the things of this earth, when His desire is for it to be completely immersed upon HIM.

I encourage you to surrender it all... cry, wait, pray, fast, and have a fit if you must..... and most of all BELIEVE HIM! You are a soldier in an army HE placed you in! This is NOT THE TIME TO LOOK TO MAN!

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

to mr. devil: YOU WILL NOT WIN this battle satan! Look at you sneering and snickering.... i tell you - IT AIN'T OVA!!! We are NOT ignorant to your devices and have been given authority to place you UNDER our feet..... NOW GET IN PLACE!!!! In the Name of JESUS! amen!

Come on all you praying BELIEVERS..... WHERE are you???? Come, believe with me, stand with me, and pray with me for Alex!!!!!

Diane and Alex and so many others who might read these words. God is doing so many things in our lives now, all of His children are suffering in some way or another. A loss of a loved one by death, a sick or someone that has cancer, heart disease and it goes on. But now as I write this, there are people I work with are losing their homes. Never missed a payment in five years, and now they are losing everything. They are working for 7.50 per hour and bonus is they can one time a month.

I know it seems bad now, no work, no money, no anything....but you know, I know there could be worse things...your health, and your mind are good. Now your heart is what needs to just be opened as it always has been for others. Now it is time to let your sister and church help in any way possible. Your not a taker in this world Alex...your a giver. The taker's in this world are all around. You see them everywhere, but not the quiet giver. Rely on God as you always have. Remember His time is not our time...our minute is His second. Wait upon the Lord...Wait upon the Lord....say it and believe it. Say it and know it. God is only a breath away...say it to Him now, He is here now, as He always has. You and I may take a step back from Him, but He always takes a step forward and always stays with you, and me. Have you ever noticed some of the most wonderful passages in Gods word is in 3:16? Check it out...your Bible is close, pick it up and dig. Listen, as your going to be in for a big surprise. And....you and I know living this Christian life is not easy, He never said it would be easy, He just promises us of the end result someday, when our work here is done, and by no means is your work done. Get back at it, take this time and make it useful to someone else as well as for you. This group needs you!

God bless and know we are praying for you. We love you and care. It is His commandment that we do so. We have been in your shoes, it will all work out for His glory, and later you will see how and you will give Him the praise for it. On the cross He said, it is done. And the Father took Him to heaven but His job was not "done" not then and not now. That is why we have to go back to the cross daily and remember why it all happened.

I know God is going to see me through this... I am learning so much in this time of stress and want.....

The thing is every time I think to do a post for a bible study... nothing comes to me......

I am regularly posting market reports and office listings... but not much else...

I want to do more... but what subject..... I have covered almost all the basics of the life of a Christian in my past posts... I cannot think of anything lese to write about.

Though i had my seasons of absence (in obedience to God), I am here now to HELP YOU lift this group back up! I AM EMPOWERED TO STAND!!!!! I AM IN IT TO FIGHT TO THE FINISH!!!!!

Remember... our fight is NOT with flesh and blood... it's against spiritual wickedness in high places. Our GOD calls it a GOOD FIGHT of FAITH!

God bless you, Diane, for caring enough to step out in faith to lift up other Brothers and Sisters. It's hard enough to live in this world today, but if I were not a believer, I would truly be lost. What is happening to Alex is happening to a LOT of solid Christians right now. My family is going through similar challenges right now, though not as severe as Alex's.

Something BIG will be happening soon, and GOD is testing His saints so that they will be ready to respond to whatever will occur. It's like we've been talkin' the talk all these years, and now we gotta be walkin' the walk. Though it may not be our choice, whatever is happening to us has already been through GOD'S "filter". He's sifted through what Satan has thrown at us, and whatever remains is what He wants us to go through.

It's not about us, but others. As Christians, our "job description" is simply to glorify GOD!

AMEN HEATHER - We certainly appreciate you coming forth to STAND with us on this! What God wants to see is FAITH, for without it we cannot please Him. Faith is NOT believing for what WE want..... Faith is believing in GOD..... PERIOD.... His ways and His will is entirely different from ours.... His thoughts are so much higher.... All He seeks is SOMEBODY HE can show Himself strong through!

When He comes.... shall He find any faith? A resounding YESSSS!!!!! And as you said.... it is all for the GLORY of God.... He will NOT forsake us.... He has NOT given us a spirit of fear.... He keeps all of His promises to us which are yea and amen! IF THE devil CAN SCARE US, HE WILL RIP US OFF!!!!

I have been told by my sister that she is NOT going to help me with rent anymore...talk about an about face...... she helped me for one month saying that she would help me until I got a job... but apparently walking the talk is too hard for her.... even though she owns a half million dollar home that is all paid for....

Some people CAN help and DO...others CAN but will NOT....

So....... I do NOT have the rent for this month.......

Can you imagine how I am feeling right now?

Just like the rug has been pulled out from under me at the last minute.

Alex - God has not left you and He is still in control even when things are at their worst. God is using you to minister to others. There are more people than you even realize lifting you up in prayer. I am so sorry that things have been so difficult for you. Just trust that one day soon you will be able to look back on this experience and see God's hand on you and have a better understanding of the reason you are going through this.

Irene: Thank you for giving Alex words of faith and encouragement at this time, and for standing with us as we watch the unfolding of our God who never fails any of us!

Alex, I know God is working here, you see before I read Daine's post, Irene wrote me and stated she had missed my posts. This is not a mere coincidence it is God working thru people. Your trust in the Lord is mighty and I know you are able to minister to those around you, all you have to do is do so.

God is using this experience right now for His purpose. It is not a punishment to be in the situation you and so many of us are in but it is to allow us to know where we came from. Now most importantly we need to look at now, not the past and keep moving in place with God. God tells us He will supply all our needs if we just ask.

As for what to write, maybe it is time to write about "how to write when you can't." I think as you start doing so you will see something happen within your self that will be contagious, just try it...I challenge you to do so. Keep us posted, still praying.

Many thanks to all of you on Active Rain who have offered your support to Alex in his time of need. He has held a special place in my heart for over 30-years, and it saddens me to know he is hurting so. It is heart warming to know he has friends (actually, more like family) in the Active Rain network that truly care about him and his well-being.

Thanks for being there for Alex and lifting him up in your prayers.

Wow...I am speechless ...this is so sad and I will be adding my prayers also. I can relate to family abandonment, ( they seem to be centered into a cocoon that includes no one else but themselves and their immediate family)...especially when the means are there to help...My mother-in law always said " What goes around comes around" When you think about it ...of of us...all of us...could be in the same position financially at any time...it is happening all around us.To add insult to injury ...to feel alone in a magnifies the struggle. I went to church yesterday with a heavy heart and there was a refrain to a hymn that spoke to my heavy heart. " You are the hope of my salvation ...of whom should I be afraid "

Thanks Diane for creating this post and the call to storm the heavens with prayer God's choicest blessings on you, Alex and all those bearing heavy crosses.

June: Alex and i wholly appreciate you allowing your heart to be softened so that brotherly love can freely flow! We are grateful for your consent to join with us in prayer and rehearsal of all good mental thoughts of recovery as GOD works this out for HIS Glory!

What is so evident is that THIS IS THE LEADER OF THIS GROUP who is withstanding a frontal attack for every member! We know the VICTORY is already won, however we must stay in the ring until the manifestation of it.... WITH YOUR OUTWARD SHOW OF COMMITMENT.... JOINING WITH US, we are strengthened and encouraged! FORGIVENESS - by Alex to be directed toward those whom he may have felt slighted by

Thanks Diane. I have added this link to a blog I just submitted. Alex has always done a wonderful job with his group and been instrumental in asking for prayers for others in need. Now is pay back time...the heavens need stormed to help him with his struggle. Satan is on a rampage but powerless .....God is in control. Thank you for calling attention and leading this crusade.

Alex - I'm so sorry to hear what you've been going through. To say times are tough would probably be an understatement. My thoughts and prayers are with you, in hopes that you'll find the light through this dark patch of your life. Take care buddy.

I have been told by my room mate / landlord that if I do not have the money needed (about $700.00) he is evicting me on Weds. this week in two days.....

I really wish my sister had told me earlier that she was not going to help me with my rent, instead of waiting until the last minute.....

While I am thankful for all the prayer support, MONEY is what I need right now...... I hate to be blunt about it.

I have no car (I sold it)... no money, no job (been looking for 5 months with no luck) and my rent is due on Weds.
