Debbi, what is that on the horizon?  Are they buildings or something?

Debbie, I hope you took that photo as you were heading back to shore.  I know firsthand that being caught on a lake in the midst of a storm is not loads of fun.

Thanks Kristin, that's pretty much what we did for the rest of the afternoon! Thanks for commenting.

Kevin, that is the Smith Mountain Lake Dam in Huddleston. When we're out on the lake at night, we look for the two mountains to find our way back home!

Hi Cindy, rain or shine, we love to get out on SML, it's just beautiful! Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Tony and Darcy, this was a cool day, but we were testing out repairs to the boat. It was a short trip!

Judy, we usually don't go out if there is a bad storm coming, this wasn't too bad. We have been on the lake with lightning but we hustle back to the dock!

Debbie,

This reminds me of the Loch Ness monster photos...  The lake appears to be really deep.

LOL! Ann, the depth varies, but maybe 200 feet at the most, it's a fun lake to boat.

Thank you Robert! I love going out on the lake in any weather as long as it's not too cold!
