The big rain yesterday effected us in Big Canoe. But now I think the rain that hurt so many South of us has left. The weather is wonderful. I posted one of the falls in Big Canoe a couple of days ago. Here is what we look like today on Lake Petitview from the Dam on Lake Petit

It is late September in our mountains but all is still green and beautiful. If you are looking for a mountain get-a-way that has boating ,fishing, hiking, tennis, golf, theater, fitness center,or a place to do nothing at all consider affordable beautiful Big Canoe at the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains.

Charlie - you live in a great looking part of the state, I may head up that way for some trout fishing soon.

Charlie - I have never been to Big Canoe - ( the farthest north I have been in Georgia is Lake Laneer ) - I would imagine that the views of the lake from some of those homes for sale would be well worth the price.  Here I am in the Nevada desert, and miles away from the nearest lake - drooling over that blue water!

Beautiful picture!  I haven't spent much time in Georgia and now I think I've missed out.  Maybe a road trip through Georgia should be planned
