Another SEO Bozo Alert: ContactBridge.com

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Virtual Pictures Corp. (VPiX)

I forgot to mention this one seo bozo alert last month.

I never got a phone call, but I did get an email from this Bozo. In fact, I'm inviting Rob from ContactBridge to respond to my email here and see what he has to say in his company's defense. This should prove to be very entertaining when he replies.

The email I received is paged below.  It starts off saying that this guy Rob, was trying to do some research for a FURNITURE STORE in my area. Okay -- I'm in Santa Fe and I'm NOT in the furniture business. We do virtual tour cameras (of which we're page one #1 and page one #2 on Google for the past seven years)

So this immediately says: SEO BOZO because he didn't do any research on my company.

Idiots and marketing liars are so easy to spot when you're already page one #1 on Google.

Rule of Thumb: NO ETHICAL SEO FIRM IS EVER GOING TO CONTACT YOU THIS WAY. So if you get an email solicitation like this, trash it. Immediately. Don't spend one dime with these kind of firms. Ever.

Danny Sullivan, Bruce Clay, Aaron Wall and Bart Wilson do not solicit customers like this for SEO clients. So if you get this unsolicited email from ContactBridge.com -- trash it. It's no better than the SEO Bozos at MerchantCircle.com or LeapFish.com

CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Hi

I was trying to do some research in your area to look for Furniture store and realized that your store never came up on the Google search either because of the lack of a web presence or your site not being optimized to hit the first page for the search results.

While so many things need focus when it comes to increasing the sales of your business, one area that has proven itself to be of a desired measurable and delivery standards is by making your business eye catching and allowing customers to buy directly from your website. As a matter of fact, 40% of the business happening in North America happens online either directly or indirectly through internet search. Out of this 90% of this online business is done by the Top 30 ranked companies. Our focus here is to maximize your business volumes by bringing in the business happening online to you, particularly during this economic meltdown where organizations are putting in double the effort to match the sales from the previous years.

Please view the following link to have a glimpse of what actually your furniture store website could look like:

I would like to organize a free consultation session to offer you a strong online presence and increase traffic to your existing site, if you have one. Just e-mail us a good time with your phone number so we can provide you a free consultation.

Look forward to hear from you soon.

Thanks
Rob

I get those every week or so. I usually trash them. The phone calls are always funny. I just ask how they finally found me. They stammer and studder and usually make up a weak excuse for the call. I then tell them that I already rank in the top spots for my search words and hang up on them.

I love all the emails that tell me they can help people find me on Google.  Bozo how the heck did you find me?  On Google where else!

Good job I enjoy that you shined the light right on and named names.  Looks like spam to me I wonder how they would feel about being blackholed?

Here's the email I sent them just now:

Hi Rob,

I am trying so hard to understand where you SEO Bozos and Marketing Liars continue to keep coming from.

You are like this horrible nightmare, where I seem to be running away from all of the cockroaches and SEO Bozos chasing me and my feet are only running in place.

I've taken the liberty of dragging your lie of an email into the harsh light of day and posted it to ActiveRain.com so 150,000 of my fellow REALTOR colleagues can read it and see your firm for what you truly are. Another firm that cannot possibly be trusted for any Internet Marketing service thanks to your marketing blunder of an unsolicited SEO email.

If you'd like to read the post, be my guest:  http://activerain.com/blogsview/1258202/another-seo-bozo-alert-contactbridge-com

Suffice it to say -- you can stop the lies with me now.

You did not try and find my website listed with a furniture search in the Santa Fe area, and the mere fact that you've already contact me like this has immediately identified the quality of your character.

We've been page one #1 on Google now for more than seven years and we're not in the "furniture business," sir.

If you enjoy lying so much, might I suggest you seek a government position somewhere within the Republican Party?

Bart,

I am actually disappointed. What relevance has it to republican party? Or democrats have the prerogative on decency?

Bart - I get bombarded with these so-called experts on a weekly basis. Typically, it's via email and most will hit my junk folder and not my in-box. However, as of late, I'm getting calls. In fact, last week one SEO Bozo pretended to be a prospect (or rather an agent that claimed she had clients interested in my service). Of course I listened. However, as the call progressed, and the questions more pointed to where I rank(ed) on the internet, I realized she had lied. I was furious. When I confronted her, she acted as though it was perfectly okay to have lied as she had information that could help me get better positioned on the internet.

FYI -  in Google, I'm in position #1 page 1 for the key word phrase (and others) that I want to be found by. It's truly unfortunate that a) they don't do their homework and b) that they lie.
