It has been awhile since I have written a Twin-Pick Music Trivia Quiz. They were popular here in the rain, but I have been busy lately and putting these together consumes more time than the average post.
We will try another one. This question will take you back. Let's think about the early girl singers, of the late 1950's and the early 1960's. This young lady was the first female singer to have two consecutive singles go to #1 on the charts and, until Diana Ross went solo, this girl was the most successful female singer of the era. She, to this day, is one of the most sucessful of the female singers.

Our singer was the daughter of a roofing contractor in Newark, New Jersey. Her dad played the concertina and daughter played the accordian, She made it to the Arthur Godfrey and the Ted Mack shows, where the two hosts both suggested that she should stick to singing and lose the squeeze box.
It was a surprise when she had her first hit. The family thought she had recorded another record that was not going anywhere, then Dick Clark played her song on American Bandstand. The young lady was watching the show that day, called in the family and they were all delighted.
Do you remember how this contest works? If you simply click on what you believe to be the correct answer from the choices below, you get instant gratification or instant disappointment. If you are right, you will be taken back in time to a performance of this young lady, on Sullivan, singing her first ever #1 single. If you are wrong, well that is different, then my cyber assistants will assail you mercilessly
Question: Whieh girl singer, of those below, holds the record as having had the most chart sucess during the late 1950's and the early 1960's?

Steven: Connie Francis had a great voice. I loved all her hits. They were hits while I was in high school. Brenda Lee's hit was "I'm Sorry." "Who's Sorry Now" was by Connie Francis. Lesley Gore had some great hits, had a great voice, and still puts on a great show when she performs. Gogi Grant was just a tad before my time, but I loved her Wayward Wind Song. And Shelley Fabares... oh, I loved her "Johnny Angel." I used to close my eyes and dream while I danced to that song with my sweetie pie. And... Shelley was so great on her television show, too.
