Social Networking sites including the ones specialized to the real estate market like Active Rain are amazing for increasing your exposure on the web. If you are a new REALTOR looking to get found or a savvy experienced REALTOR looking to get your listings out to the masses. Social networking is nothing more than specific algorithms used to find interrelatedness between friends or followers. One of the main algorithms used is what is called the clustering coefficient. This clustering coefficient indicates the ratio of existing links connecting a persons friends to each other to the maximum possible number of such links. An object must have at least two friends to calculate the clustering coefficient. The more friends or followers a person gets on these social networking sites will increase their interrelatedness therefore increasing their ability to reach a larger population. This also benefits the REALTOR with a website and links their website to their social networking sites increasing the trafic to their website and over time increasing their website's relevance and traffic. This benefits the REALTOR's clients by giving their clients properties that many more people to view their listing and increase the chance for a speedy sale.
