As I am sure most everyone has noticed Bellingham has a plethora of coffee stands, shops and cafes.  I would like to point out that my caffeine consumption alone probably justifies this amount of java stops.  Having visited some much larger cities I can't help but notice the lack of coffee on every corner.  I have found myself actually having to look around some of these metropolitan type cities just to find a cup.  Around here having to do that would seem somewhat "Twilight Zone" like.  Per capita I believe Bellingham to have more coffee shops than Seattle.  Do we really need this much coffee?  I have a coffee maker as I am sure most do.  Why don't I use it more?  Have I grown tired of the taste it provides? I don't think so.  Maybe I just find the need to buy something when I am out of the house, and always so near one of these places.  Whatever the answer it's obvious none of them are going out of business, it does feel like they are multiplying and showing up more and more.  Maybe eventually we will each have a coffee stand all to ourselves!
