Well, Folks, here we are. After daysweeks months of thinking, taking pictures, creating, and voting, we've finally arrived at the end of the ActiveRain Nature & Marketing contest.
We had fourteen Finalists out of 226 entries, an ActiveRain record number of entries for anyone other than the ActiveRain Staff themselves.
Four other notes:
A bigTHANK YOU to everyone who participated by entering and voting. This contest wasn't about me; it was about you and getting you to do something that might be a little uncomfortable because it was a little different. I'm pretty sure that those of you who took the time to exercise your brains, shutter fingers, and creativity will benefit in your own businesses by either using some of the ideas that were put forth in the contest or at least looking at things in a different perspective when you come up against something unusual.
All contestants will receive 200 ActiveRain points and 1 FREE CPG Tour just for taking the time to enter.
This is a public post with links back to your blog from both your name and your Finalist entry. Who knows? You just might get something more than a few ActiveRain points. Perhaps a little extra Google juice!
If anyone would like help running a contest, don't call me. I'm going to be in Rio for the next year recovering from this one.
Without further delay, let's begin our countdown. Note that we had some ties, and they were broken based on number of first place votes and, if necessary, the number of second place votes.

Russel, first, thank you for all your hard work, you do deserve a vacation in Rio for sure. And to you and everyone who voted, I am udderly blown away, this has been such a moo-ving experience. There were so many wonderful entries, I am stunned that I won! Wow!
The best part for me, that is a picture of my baby Patsy, before she had her last calf. She had to be put down after she gave birth, it was so difficult for me. So this is very special indeed, in so many ways. She was more like a dog than a cow, she followed me everywhere I went, was very protective of me, and weighed in at 1700 pounds on a good day. I loved each and every pound of her.
Again, thank you for everything Russel. I had such a good time with this contest, as you know, LOL. I hope AR gives YOU something for all your hard work.
Hi Russel! Awesome, Awesome!! You definitely should go to Rio - I can't even imagine the work involved in putting this all together! You really did a wonder job, keeping us voting and on track- and how fun was it to see all the wonderful marketing ideas!
Thanks for your idea for the contest, and giving us an extra push to be creative! Well done Russel !!! Now go pack! LOL!!
Russel - Some great entries here. A lot of very clever cookies here on Active Rain. That's why I love coming here and reading so much. Great Job! Everyone!
Rio - go for it! A well deserved vacation. This was contest was a blast! I haven't done anything as creative for a long time and it got me going again. Thanks so much for the points!!
Thanks for showing the winners!! What a talented bunch!! Now for my Curious George (totally unrelated) question...Does the cat pictured in the 1st photo REALLY sit up on the high shelf of the closet!?? What a hoot!!
Hey, Andrea - Now you've gone really gone and done it with your heart-rending story about Patsy. Well, I for one am glad that Patsy shall live forever in the annals of ActiveRain.
Hey, Sonja - Zoey the Cool Cat will jump up to the top shelf of that closet when she is really, really angry with me. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes I'm facing a deadline to finish a report or getting ready to go to a home inspection and don't have time to play with her right then, so she'll jump up to the top of the closet and give me the evil eye.
Hey, Michael - I've got a list coming to you probably tomorrow.
I didn't win, place OR . . . even show. But you know what? I had a great time with my design and following the contest. Glad to have the results, and CONGRATS to all the contestants and winners!
It was so much fun entering this contest. Frankly I was really surprised to be among the finalists. Congratulations to all the winners! Andrea, nice to see your baby Patsy memorialized in this special way. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Bob, thanks for the unexpected bonus of the points.

I personally like the Value of the Dollar by Jim & Maria Hart for its message without being to cheesy.
