Remember this house?  Appropriately dubbed the "House of Doors", doors, and more doors!

House of Doors

Yes, the same house that also had a bath tub immediately adjacent to the master BED (not room, BED)

En-suite?

Yes, the very same house with oddities such THIS ?!?!

Well, nay-sayers of Home Staging,  I am here to state that even though the average days on the market for this BEACH community is 146 days - this one is under escrow in just 48 days AFTER Staging! HA!

I certainly do remember those blogs about his house, and I was thinking 'Thank goodness it wasn't me!"

You clearly did an excellent job, because that house was a doozy of design dilemmas and you sorted them all out.

I remember that difficult house Connie, great job on getting it sold! Your staging changed the feel of the L/R to warm and inviting, very nice.

I am so glad you did a followup with the marvelous results!  Great job!  This house was certainly a challenge!

The bare statistics are marvelous enough by themselves, but when paired with the information about how strange the home is, it makes them even more outstanding. Makes you want to add an asterisk to the stats, doesn't it? Wonderful work, Connie.

Hi, everyone! Didn't mean to post-&-ghost

Thank you, Barbara,of all the homes we have EVER Staged, this was by far the most challenging in many ways.

Thanks, Jeani,Home Staging believe it or not still is not an "industry standard" to many. Still scratching my head on that.

Michelle M. & Kathy ~glad to know people remember my posts ;), yes it was a doosie, that's why I am SO glad it went under contract so quickly.

Check out the link I included to the "house of doors", Jane. 10 doors all in the front entry of the home... or was is 11? Check out the oddities link to ;)

Tammy & Donna ~Next time I have another one like this I'll call you both - lol

I hope they are too, Maureen, "HA!"

Thank you, Lori & Kathleen!  (note I already update the RES show?)

Thanks, Cynthia, it was quite a mix of modern contemporary (or shall I say 80's white) and Spanish influences - is that even possible?!?!

It certainly was, Sharon, that's why I was so excited when I heard it was in escrow and closing so quickly.

Actually, Laurie, this house sat in the market before Staging with nary a nibble.  Left bare, all the buyers could see was the extremely awkward floor plan and left wondering how they could marry the various styles within the home. Even when I looked at the home via the Internet (when they 1st contacted me) I had NO CLUE what was going on in this home because there was no frame of reference.

THANK YOU, KATHY! I'm honored!

Aloha Connie,

This property screamed stage me. Was it designed by a contractor? Sometimes these types of homes just make me laugh. I can see Monte Hall as the agent- "so you think the closet is behind...door number one, two, three..." And as a consolation prize you get a bathtub next to your bed. Congrats on a hard sell, excellent job!

Peace,

Way to go Connie!  It truly was a home with a unique floor plan and architectural features.  Your staging made sense of the rooms and space.  It softened the the somewhat awkward areas/features and turned them into focal points.  Well done - Congrats on the quick sale!!
