Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
Race for the Cure Finish Line
The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was held at Fashion Island in Newport Beach yesterday September 27, 2009. I participated in this event with my family, and what an awesome experience. The attendance for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was approximately 30,000 people. There were participants racing in honor of others who are survivors, and there were survivors as well that raced.
It was a foggy morning in Newport Beach, and there were actually two races, one began at 7:30 am and the other one began at 9:45 am. Also, at 9am, there was an dedication ceremony to the survivors of this disease. By 12:00 noon yesterday, over $2.5 million dollars had been raised. I will continue to support this organization and event every year going forward.
