If You Think That Your Short Sale Owner Is a Retail Owner, then Refer Them Out!

 

Dear Southern California short sale agents. Have you obtained a short sale listing in which your clients will not:

1. Clean up their home?

2. Be flexible on showings?

3. Allow lockboxes or signs?

4. seem reasonable to you?

Well then, please do the right thing and refer them to an agent who knows what they are doing. One that understands the mentality of someone who is in a foreclosure situation.

1. Keep your property clean? 

2. Make you leave when buyers are visiting your property?

3. Want to put a lockbox and sign on your property?

4. Make repairs?

Thanks guys for bringing it to my attention. I modified it. It is never my attention to directly market to clients who are under contract with another broker. However, I won't mind talking to them if they call! ;)

Hi Gene - Thanks for stopping by. Sorry for being confusing as I wrote this at 3AM! The blog has two purposes:

1. To tell agents to refer their short sales to a short sale agent as the mentality of a short sale seller is different than a retail listing.

2. To tell short sale sellers that I understand their issues and can help (as long as they are not under contract with another broker).

I will do a short sale, but I won't put them through the stress of selling their home. Short sales are a different animal and some agents can't understand it and treat the sellers as a retail seller.
