There are alot of companies in the industry that are claiming to offer virtual tours.
In an attempt to set the record straight, and correct the misconception of what a virtual tour is, I would like to provide the following information to all the agents out there.
Virtual tours are not slideshows or a montage of still photos. Virtual tours are 360 degree photos that offer the home-shopper (user) to be interactive, and control their own experience.
Being able to click and drag in a photo, and view what they want, offers this type of experience.
While this is the extent of the definition of a virtual tour, there are hundreds of companies that claim to offer virtual tours, when in fact, they are not.
I am a big fan of beautiful, wide-angled, still shots...however, the home-shoppers are demanding the 360 degree tours, to provide them with a true, center-of-the-room, perspective. It is essential that we provide the buyers with what they are looking for.
The next step is adding the advertising necessary to increase your customer base. The can be provided by "branding" the background of the virtual tour itself.
