I got a call from a marketer about putting my profile on goggle. I have not heard this before.
I wonder if this is for real or just another marketing idea trying to get me to part with some $$$?
Have you done this? Have your heard anyone who has done this and had and success?
I have always been told that people shop for homes online...not the Realtor.
Focus on marketing your listings!
Google yourself and see where you show up..that is your profile. You want to be everywhere from ActiveRain blogs, your site, social media, your videos, podcasts, everything should should up. Brad says when someone asks for your business card..tell them your address is google. You should be saturated, blanketed and sale/peppered all over that internet. Google others that are and you see where you are missing the boat or making good strides.
Putting your profile on Google is free, don't pay anyone to do it for you. You are also responsible for improving your ranking, so don't pay for that either. Do some research at Google.com.and save your money
I have my profile on Google, and it's free!! Also, you can post yourself as a local business on Google for free as well. If Pizza Hut can get a free business listing, with location map included, so can "Joe" Realtor.
P.S. By having as many appropriate profiles online, you enhance the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) of your website. If buyers find your website, they'll see your listings. ; )
Joe, Putting your profile on Google is free and easy. it is amazing what some people have found to offer as a service. Although I have to admit that I do free lance writing and photography and occasionally have written blog posts for a fee -- of course the person had written many of their own and was just too busy at the time.
