Ponder These Questions!

I don't know about you but I love the "Peanuts" comic strip!  The following is the philosophy of its creator Charles Schulz:
money
Name the five wealthiest people in the world.

trophyName the last five Heisman trophy winners.

crownName the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.

pulitzerName ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

                          oscar

Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and  actress.

               world series

Name the last decades worth of World Series winners.

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.  These are no second-rate achievers.  They are the best in their fields.  But the applause dies.  Awards tarnish.  Achievements are forgotten.  Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Now...

teacher

List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

friends

Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

Naworthwhileme five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

special

Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special!

friends

Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials...the most money...or the most awards.  They simply are the ones who care the most!

Hi Dorie. You're absolutely correct. Even how i squeeze my brain thinking those second-rate achievers none of them I could remember but I could pretty remember those people whom I grow up and make a difference. Thanks for the post.

Jonelle,

I'm glad you agree. It is hard to remember all those achievers unless you Google them! It's good to take time to remember those that helped make a difference in your life.

Hi Dorie:

It's so true!

We should remember what SHOULD matter most in our lives...

I remember all of my grade school teacher's names in fact.
