Enjoy the beautiful autumn in Tennessee. Bet we will be seeing some more great photos from you as the leaves change to beautiful colors. - Love the hummingbird photo.
Hi Michael:
Great photo!
I remember you saying that you have a Nikon...which series one do you have?
It wont be long these guys will be heading back to Florida or Mexico. Its amazing how far they travel to get some sunshine and warmth.
Fall has been settling here in CT now for a few weeks. I once saw a hummer in my yard. A rare sight unless you have a feeder.
Fall means no more 110 degree days for us...it is a great time of year. Thanks for the picture
Michael, I have mixed emotions at this time of year, too. It's my favorite season with cool days and the beautiful fall colors, but I know winter is coming soon. It's beautiful with the snow but it's a lot of work, here where we live - shoveling, plowing, scraping.
YOu get the most amazing shots buddy! Great one indeed! Yes, it is chilly here too, but still alot of activity in the back yard!
Great shot Michael.
I love this time of year!
Cool crisp nights.
Humid free days.
I'm ready for the change, the crispness of the fall and the smell of burning wood and Tobacco barns, "it's Football Time Tennessee", as John Ward would say.
It can be tough capturing a humming bird. They are quick little buggers. As for summer... I was ready to say goodbye. I love the cooler weather.
I had a few hummingbirds buzzing around me yesterday afternoon but I would imagine they will be MIA soon too.
Michael: As I sat on the patio yesterday afternoon, after work, I notice that many of the regulars at my feeders are gone. I too, love to watch the sweet little birds and will also miss them. You had a great idea to take a few last pictures. I think I will do that today, before they are all gone for the summer.
Michael,
It sure seems like we are saying goodbye up here too.
Michael..Beautiful picture of the hummingbird..but the whole itea of saying goodbye to summer makes me want to cry....
HELPFULHANNAH
As with the Humming bird, We all still need to eat Michael. I could do with a little less, I guess!
Make today something special,
Paul
We don't have any mixed emotions, we will and are missing Summer already. Yea the leaves will be pretty and all that, lets just have some Turkey and Pumpkin Pie and got right back at Summer.
Goodbye summer hummer.... I wasn't feeling so nostalgic until I read this! LOL
Debi
Michael,
Very nice eulogy to summer but Spring will be here before you know it.
Beautiful Michael. Summer is leaving us and I feel like we were a bit shortchanged this year. I hope we have an extended Autumn to make up for it cause Winter just doesn't do much for me anymore. Have a good one.
I haven't seen a Hummer this week. I don't know if it's the cold, or just that time of year. Either way, my feeders are showing no activity right now.
