A report released by the Office of the Controller today, lenders are worker harder than ever to help homeowners avoid foreclosure with loan modifications. However, they report that more than 50% of homeowners who completed loan modifications in the first half of 2008 had fallen behind on their payments again.

Nancy, from what I understand that is the number one reason lenders are reluctant to do loan modifications. They end up foreclosing on the property at a later date.

None of my clients had any luck getting a loan modification approved so far..I have to sell those properties anyway. Not that I don't want to sell them but I wish I could see those families staying in their homes.
