Social Networking: The Joys of Being A Microcelebrity

For you night owls...

I haven't done much in the last four days on Active Rain, and yesterday I started receiving emails to my AR home page asking if everything is all right.

It is. Thanks for asking! Too much work, and not enough time to get it all done...

Your emails made me reflect about the concrete relationships that come about as a result of social networking, and what a joy it is to know that I'm missed by friends I have yet to meet.

That thought woke me up. (I try to listen to things that wake me up.)

'Nuff said. It's four in the morning, and I have to go back to bed.

We didn't name it; she nested on our back ramada and raised two little ones this spring. Now she comes back from time to time, and just shows up. She isn't at all afraid of us; I took this photo last week within eight feet of her.
