Jeff this is a wonderul event to participate in - what a great idea.  I'm not sure we have anything like this in Phoenix but perhaps you'd know?  I am alwasy so amazed and impressed by the challenged athletes who can run circles around able bodied folks.  Years ago when I lived in Vail I assisted with blind skiers and that was totally amazing - such focused and upbeat and full of life folks.  Good luck on the event!

Hi Jeff, I finished my comments for the day but when I saw this I had to speak up ( again). What a great event and I am for one , glad you shared this. I for sure know I don't have these marvelous talented people's courage to have so successfully overcome unplanned for obstacles in their lives. Looks like an amazing fund raising event and hope that it was heavily attended. Well done Jeff !

Anna - not aware of anything specifically but my guess is there must be something. THis is really an impressive event - I spent several hours there last year and was blown away. I consider myself incredibly fortunatel

George - I think that is absolutely true. We could all be inspired by what these athletes have accomplished.

Hannah - so very true. You cannot help but be tremendously impressed.

Terry and Bonnie - as I have done more reading I have learned that there are a ton of events, including the paralympics (national and world)

William - I'm glad you stopped by. Seems to be that last year they raised $100,000 adn I would expect this year to be comparable. I hope I have the time to stop by again.

Thanks, Missy. I remember watching last year and thinking how amazing some of the athletes are. And I gripe and complain when my back or legs hurt when I work out or take a long bike ride.

Jeff: It just goes to prove that people, no matter what their physical challenges are, can accomplish truly great things.  And reminds me to express more gratitude more often and complain a lot less.  This is an awesome event and your area is spectacular.
