Our Phils did it again and for the 3rd year in a row are the Champs of the NL East Division!
Unlike the last 2 seasons this one didnt come down to the wire as the Phils had a hefty lead on the division for most of the year.
Rollins had a very slow start, newcomer Raul Ibanez set the league on fire for the first half but slowed down after a injury but was still a asset in left. Ryan Howard is sitting at 43 homers, bit of a off year in that department but had more hits and 11 more doubles than last year. Chase Utley had a solid year at 2nd and should be a key player in the playoffs. Jayson Werth set personal bests in Hits, Doubles, Homers and total bases. For the first time in history 4 Phils will end the season with 30 or more homers.

Because Newark Delaware is only 40 miles from Citizens Bank Park many in the area will be attending the playoff games and hopefully the World Series! Bumper stickers and Phils flags are everywhere, GO PHILS!
