I thought this was so cool, I'm not sure if anyone posted about it but if they did I missed it.

I am a regular visitor to the NAR's website REALTOR.org . I like it because I usually can find lots of good information there and it's all free for me to use. Plus I really like to get as much bang as I can out of my dues dollars.

Today while surfing the site I was checking out seller tips and Home staging. I think in this market staging is becoming all the more important and I wanted to see what I could find.

Of course NAR has a whole section on staging. They have a ton of research available...books, articles the whole nine yards.  Imagine my surprise when under the General Tips section the first article I saw was by a fellow Active Rainer Lori Kim Polk!  NAR linked to Lori's article she posted on Active Rain. How very cool!

Hey Monika - I like Realtor.org, too.  It's built for us with our dues dollars, and you're right, this is an awesome resource for all of us who are REALTORS.  I didn't realize they had staging info up there for us - great new feature.  And how great for Lori to have them linking to her post.

Lori has done some wonderful posts here on AR - congrats to her for that great link-love from such a high-traffic site!

Great post, it's funny how many great things are on there.  I especially like the rebuttle to the CBS news cast that came up a while back.

Hi Ann,

I try and get to REALTOR.org a few times a week and I was tickeled when I saw the link to Lori.  That picture was taken a few weeks ago while we were up in Boothbay Harbor. Actually in East Boothbay on Ocean Point Drive...an awesome stretch of road curved around the ocean. We make a point to walk Ocean Point every time we go to Boothbay. We simply never tire of the view.

Hey Monika,

Thanks for sharing. As Ann mentioned I too use the NAR site. Lot's of good stuff there so why not use it? The surveys for example, I used much of the data in my listing presentations, it helps keep you right on top of things. And we've already paid for it right?

Monika,

I know what you mean. I used a portion of it myself in a prior post about 2 weeks ago.  Since then I've used a bit of it in my aor orientation. I see your a trainer, I do a little myself. Although mostly for my AOR.

The legal scan? Not sure what that is, I'll take a look. Thanks again for sharing!

I haven't read the article yet, but it is always cool to hear about fellow Rainers getting recognition from other organizations.

It is nice to have such a great resource and unfortunately I don't think it is utilized to it's potential.

I use Planet Realtor all the time too. I agree. We might as well get all we can from our dues. I especially like to see the current market data and statistics.

OMG!  I had no idea and I am so flattered!  Thank you so much for letting me know.  I have been on a Staging frenzy the last 10 days and I haven't been able to check in here.  This was such a nice thing for you to do.... thank you!  How do did they pick up the Blogs like this?  I will be writing another one in the next day or so which will be the 2nd in a series.  I am so excited about seeing this. Thank you so much again for letting me know and for writing this Blog about me, that was so nice of you!

All the best to you,

Lori

HI Monika, I'm not surprised about stagers getting some prominent attention on REALTOR.org, they've become such an important part of the real estate game and such a useful marketing tool for home owners.

Lately I seem to read as much input from stagers on realty blogs as I do from realtors. Have a great weekend...

Hi Marti,

Staging has really come a long way. There are a lot of posts about staging on AR and the timing is perfect as this market is such that sellers and REALTORS can use all the help they can get.

Thanks for commenting.

Monika, As a friend of Lori's I just had to stop by here and add my little note. Lori is a fantastic stager who knows her business and it is wonderful that NAR has acknowledged her. It is even better that you took the time to notify her and the AR community. Thanks Monika!
