I am so proud of my daughter, Christa Caulk.

She was invited to serve on a new committee forming at NAR.

"NAR has made a commitment to elevating the voice of young professionals and early adopters of social media in the real estate business, and we want to hear from you. Because of your accomplishments and success in the business so far, you were recommended to serve on the REALTORS® Political Involvement Committee."

Political Action Involvement Committee? Woot, sure hope those conservative, free market principals she has been taught kick in.

Congratulations. Now we are getting an insider in NAR. Could she get to the White House? Are you working on that? that wold have been awesome. So much crap comes from there, and having smart people there wold be simply invaluable (LOL) Nope this is really not a joke. This is a dream...

Congrats to Christa! It's nice to see NAR recognizing the impact of social media and listening to some of the younger voices.

Missy, there is nothing better than when we see our kids succeed. Way to go Christa and Missy.

Congratulations Christa, (I actually first addressed this to Christina), sorry.

Serving at NAR is a very rewarding experience and one I am sure you will enjoy. I was unaware of the new committee. I did get a kick out of your Mom's comment in the post about, ....Conservative Principles.... One of the first things you will get from staff is that NAR is non-partisan. As experience has taught me, NAR is correct in that being non-partisan, they are listened to ( at least the lobbyists are) by all the legislators and it prevents some from turning a blind eye to respecting private property rights and items of import to REALTORS and consumers. Well, sometimes they do that anyway if my history serves me right. Have fun, participate and contribute and others can learn from you.

Congratulations to both Christa and you, Missy. What an accomplishment. Way to go!

I just finished reading Lolas post and am soooooooooo thrilled for them!

Missy, I'm so happy to hear this for both Matt and Christa! There is nothing more wonderful then watching your children suceed.....and I'm SURE you had a lot to do with that. Wonderful news!

Congratulations you guys! Great to have young, dynamic people getting some attention as the old way 'ain't going to work any more.' And what a great example Christa has had to follow early in her career. ;-)

Missy - A chip off the old block;) Good for Christa. It seems to me that NAR is taking a pro-active approach to getting and staying ahead of the game with actions such as this. As far as Conservative Principles, well, I'm a bit left of center. But I respect those principles none the less. Congrats to you, Christa.
