"You only live life once, so live it to the fullest!"

This old saying was something I learned early in my life.  I didn't necessarily always do this but for the most part I have.  Anything I ever wanted to do, I have done.  I always promised myself not to grow old and have regrets for not taking a chance and trying things.

My parents taught me, to try and fail is not to fail, but never trying is real failure.  "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again".  Remember that old saying, I put it to memory and used it many times.

I feel my life has been good and exciting.  I do not get bored or even depressed.  I realize there are so many things I have not accomplished or even started and the time I have left is so small.  Every day I try to put as much into my day as I can fit in.  I don't want to miss out on anything.

So my advice to everyone is,  ENJOY your life!  You have a lot to be thankful for and lots more to experience.  Make your days an adventure.  Wake up and know there are people and places ahead of you this day that are different and precious.  You can never get those moments back.  You never know what a day holds, one of my favorite sayings that really motivates me.  Have a wonderful day tomorrow and be thankful for it.

Ricki, if you put 100% into what you do, then you will have no regrets!

Ricki,

I agree, I plan to walk in the much needed rain tomorrow.  I spend time improving myself and also enjoying the things that are so much more important in life.

It is tough to balance everything out in this economy, every deal is so crucial to my Realtors and clients.  I still find a way to relax.

Instead of taking one of my top agents to lunch, we got big tall coffee drinks and I treated her to a pedicure instead.  We both had a great time relaxing and chatting, plus a pedicure lasts much longer than a high calorie lunch!

Hi Sharon,  You are so right, no regrets! :)

Hi Melissa,   What a great way to reward yourself and your agent.  Those are special memories too, that last longer than lunches.

Ricki

This is one of your best posts to date.  So many sit back and spend their lives just wondering....and wake up in the nursing home still wondering.

Hi Carl & Ceil,  Opportunities are every day of our lives.  We just have to recognize them as such.

Hi Trey,  Thank you so much for your comments.  Time passes so quickly, if only young people would listen to their elders about this and make moments count.

Ricki, I have always tried to follow your philosophy...lately (past three years) I've gotten so wraped up in work that I think I lost sight of that.  A good friend of mine died today, he was 56...your words just smacked me in the face.  Thanks for the reminder...looking forward to what tomorrow brings.

So many people worry about tommorow instead of enjoying today.  People take life for granted, I've been very blessed.

Hi Nick,    Sorry for the loss of your friend.  We can get very busy and lose track of our real purpose. Glad my words helped, have a great weekend!

Hi Cindy,  You are right.   People should stop worrying about tomorrow and live today. If you live today right, tomorrow will take care of itself.

Ricki, I think it is more important to live a life of integrity and to treat others the way you want to be treated than to only think about your own self.  Wouldn't you agree?
