Do You Flickr?

I just opened up my Flickr account tonight. What took me so long?

Jeremy Blanton gave me the idea. Jeremy is such a whiz when it comes to all this web gadgetry and social media. Watching him do his magic is both entertaining and awe inspiring; the man is a genius!

Getting back to Flickr: if you haven't done so already, you should! Just get yourself a Yahoo webmail address (mine is Mirela.Monte@yahoo.com), then go to Flickr.com and garner yourself a free account. Start uploading your pictures and creating your magic. Here is mine:

If you don't flickr, you're missing out.

Flickr is user friendly. The pictures upload easily, the site is easy to follow and the results speak for themselves. Flickr can be yet a wonderful marketing tool, not to mention a good way to connect. You can have all your pictures readily available to upload to any of your blogs from wherever you're at.

Looks Great Mirela! Just remember what I mentioned last evening. Make sure you are not loading photos for commercial purposes or flickr will shut you down instantly with no questions asked. Glad you enjoyed things last night!

I do love Myrtle Beach. When I lived in Columbia, our annual vacation was always there. I have such fond memories! Great pics.

PS - the closest I've been to your area was Hilton Head Island, and with the 3 hour time change, I was NEVER able to get up early enough to see the sunrise over the Atlantic!

I had a paid Flickr account and was trying to upload my vacation pictures to it when they promptly closed my account. They never said why and I got really pissed at them. I am looking for an alternative program to use - maybe Snapfish? - because Flickr said I violated their ToS but never told me what I did. And my account is NOT filled with real estate pictures...

Christianne: Thank you for sharing this! Since posting this blog I've heard the same thing from other people as well. Blatant disregard for its members will get Flickr nowhere. Thank you for the warning before I got too involved in it! For now, I'll flick Flickr...

Have you tried Picassa? I am looking into that for now.

For fabulous slide shows I love slide.com. OK to use for business. Will not shut down your account. Safe to use.
