Warning about Homes.com

I tried to work with this company to get leads and it was a terrible experience. They over billed me and I am in a dispute with Visa and them. Over a 3 month period they could not get my correct phone number and the landing page looked horrible. Not one of the leads ever gave their correct phone or email to contact them because their content was so poor and non exsistant. They have sales staff that promiss a lot and do not deliver. They continued to bill me for 2 months after I told them to stop!! Please share your experience with this or other Real Estate Marketing companies with me. Put when one of this company many branches call you JUST SAY NO!!!!!

They have several different companies under their umbrella of companies.

Thanks for the heads up. I had the same problem with Realtor.com

That is one of the reasons I stay away from these companies. I am capable of creating my own leads with hard work and that is the way I do it. You can generate the same leads they do and hopefully have a better chance of turning it into a transaction. Good Luck and thanks for the post, I was wondering about them but always thought it would be a battle.

Thanks for the heads up. I decided to spend my money on better web design, graphics, professional writing and a little PPC. Its making a decent difference in my traffic, and best of all, I own it! Thanks again.

Is there a trend here, the few that have success or ones they tout before you and they prop up to look good. No one truly gets anything near what they pay. Those are ones that do and the rest teach.

I once interviewed for a well known company that sold this stuff and they said I would have to sell anywhere but the state I was from, I said WHY there is so much right here. Their answer, " Because you will be more believable in another state and no one can check out your numbers as easy". They went on to say we all fudge a little bit don't we , what's wrong with a couple extra zero's. I told him a little more than I can print but the just was that I was not interested.

Yes guys you are right about that, I am currenty working in build my own web site so I dont pay so much money to another companies that dont do their job, working in your own stuff you have so much more progress and suscesful work. I am working so hard to stand this bad economy that is current affecting us but I am sure everything will be the same that was in the past years!!
