Energy Star LogoIf you've been looking to upgrade your appliances (to be more energy-efficient), here is some great news for you.

This coming weekend in Virginia, Energy Star Appliances and WaterSense Qualified products will be exempt from Virginia Sales Tac.  Products must be for non-commerical use and cost less than $2500.

Per the Virginia Department of Tax Site:

"The exempt Energy Star items include dishwashers, clothes washers, refrigerators, air conditioners, ceiling fans, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and programmable thermostats that carry the Energy Star designation."

This is a great opportunity to upgrade your appliances and save a few dollars in the process.
