Most persons never know what's involved buying a new home. Negotiations of price, extras, who pays closing costs is one thing, but what about everything else? What about the extras? What is standard with a home and what is extra? How much is the cost of the home if you had the home the way you want it? What is the final cost of all those extras? There's a lot to consider for sure.
There are cabinets, flooring, carpeting, plumbing fixtures, appliances, sinks, commodes, cable and phones, structural changes to enlarge a room or an eating area. Does granite counter-tops come with the home or is it extra? What granite will go best with the cabinets you choose and what is the final cost going to be? Is that price negotiable? Sounds like a lot? It is, but we haven't even started yet! There are also alarm systems, lighting and exterior choices to make for brick, roof tiles, and exterior lighting and then there is landscaping! Wouldn't it make sense to have an experienced real estate agent represent you and advise you as your advocate? Someone that has done this many times? Someone that can represent you at no additional cost? Why not a new home buyer agent?
