Were does the time go - Christmas will be here before you know it. And, if you are looking for some luminous holiday ornaments, I know just where to go...... to the Greenbrier's "Christmas Depot Shop" in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
The Christmas shop opened at the Greenbrier in 1996 in a former historic train depot dating to 1931. The best thing about the Christmas Depot Shop besides the Christmas ornaments, collectible Santas, nutcrackers, water globes and holiday decorations, is that it is opened year-round. In each of the six rooms of the shop you will find beautiful decorated Christmas trees.
The shop, located directly across from the entrance of the Greenbrier Resort is recognized by the candy cane-striped posts and red and green Christmas-themed exterior. Not only does the Christmas Depot shine in the night with fairy-tale beauty during the holiday, it shines year round.
It still serves as a depot of sorts as the Amtrak Cardinal train continues to run by the Greenbrier three days a week. The first thing you will see when de-boarding the train is, of course, the Christmas Shop.
Stop by the Christmas Depot Shop and browse you may find some great holiday ornaments. Located at 315 West Main Street. White Sulphur Springs, WV.
