The future of Tutas Towne RealtyAs most of you know our son Nathan was discharged from the Marine Corp last month after serving for 13 years. He and his wife of 13 years and their 4 children have moved directly across the street from TLW and I.

To say it has been awesome would be an understatement.

And as if it couldn’t get any better, Nathan just passed the Florida State Real Estate licensing test on Friday, paid his REALTOR® and MLS dues today and is now the newest addition to the Tutas Towne Realty empire team!!!

I am so excited I can hardly stand it.

Nathan is going to be my right hand man in anticipation of taking over the business in the not too far future. Nathan was a Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corp and is more than capable of handling all aspects of our business.

Our immediate goal is to get Nathan up and running with handling some of my administrative duties and working with International Investors who are purchasing Florida Holiday homes near Disney.

He will also be working with me on listing, selling and negotiating Short Sales in the Central Florida area.

This will free up my time so I can concentrate on our longer term goal of expanding Tutas Towne Realty throughout the state of Florida via TTRealty Network. TTRealty Network is our virtual training site for Florida REALTORS®. This site is in it’s infancy but will eventually have training materials available for all aspects of Florida Real Estate.

REALTORS® can hang their license with Tutas Towne Realty, Inc or they can just access the training materials for a small monthly fee. Our goal will be to help REALTORS® throughout the State become better at what they do.

Tutas Towne Realty is a virtual real estate office. We only want REALTORS® who are disciplined enough to work from their homes. You will still have complete Broker support it just won’t be face to face. If you are interested in a new way of doing business let me know. We are hiring NOW!

And of course all of this ties in very nicely with my partnership with Wendy Rulnick and......

www.ShortSaleSuperStars.com and our  Short Sale Agent Training.

Folks these are exciting times for me. The recent difficulties in real estate have forced me to change the way I think about my business. Changing the way I think has opened up doors I never would have even thought of 3 years ago. I have evolved am evolving.

I’m starting to feel rejuvenated and motivated again. Adversity is bringing out the best in me.

I truly hope that you too are evolving. These are interesting times that we are in. They will either make you or break you. Which one will it be?

Reserved Parking For "The Lovely Wife"...TLW...ROAR!

Hun...

All of this has been wonderful for all of us. It's funny how everything just lined up so we could pursue our bigger picture. I love our bigger picture, and of course, the picture of our Son. He's handsome, fluffy and looks like me. Well, except for the fluffy part :)

Well done Nathan!

Bryan,

Eric worked with me for a long time, I cherish those years! I envy you, but worry Marine Sargents are more use to giving orders than taking them. I suggest you say it once, say it clear, say it in writing. Then get the he.. out of his way!

Good luck to both of you. This schould be a blessing second only to his mother!

Sounds like the best of times around your house and office.  It has always been those who make lemonade when given lemons that are successful and you definitely seem to fit the bill.  Best of luck with you new virtual company.  I have the feeling you will be very VERY successful at it.

LOL Sir William...

Of course you would. I know you're just playing with me :)

I also agree with what you just said about the Marine Sergeants. It's true. You only have to say it once, and Sha-Zaam, Nathan makes it happen :)

We're really proud of him. I can't help but be proud. He's helping to create some excellent memories here. Just having him back home has made such a huge difference in our lives. Okay. I better stop it now. I think I'm having an emotion :)

Although I started this market with Short Sales back in late 06 and 07 I was fortunate to make the transition into REO by 8/07 and have never really regretted it and never looked back at the Short sale die of things - the point is you are so right on the money - this is the perfect time to make lemonade because there certainly is no shortage of lemons right now.

Have you tried to break into the REO's? What type of resistance did you have?

May you and your young bride wife better half enjoy much success. It is a great time for new ventures. As times change, you will be in a wonderful position. You have shared so much here, agents within Florida will be wise to at least look into how they might become a part of your adventure.

Good morning everybody. Surprised this one got featured but I'll take it!!!

Things are starting to fall into place. I'm now able to visualize where I want my business to go and how I'm going to get there. Now of I can just get my income to catch up to my head!!! It's been hard because values in my area are so low. I've been addressing this by expanding into new markets. But of course everything takes time.

Loreena, Sorry about that. I know I owe you one. But every spare minute has been spent with my grand children. I made a goal to spend my afternoons with them. These are days I hope they will remember forever.

John Occhi, I have not tried to break into the REO market and not sure if I want to. I certainly don't want to spend time doing BPOs. From what I can see the REO agents in my area are making 1-2% with a lot of expenses coming out of that. I would have to do tremendous volume to make it worth my while and I'm not prepared to do that. My future is on the Internet 100%.

Rebecca, Call me once you are licensed.

OK thanks to all for stopping by and leaving such kind remarks. I'lll be back.

I've been giving this business model a lot of thought as well. I truly believe it is the next step. I have seen another broker pull this off using something called "virtual offices" where you pay a company a few hundred dollars a month and can use 15 hours of conference room time at different locations so your agents can bring clients there if needed. You are right to explore this concept and I think we will see an evolution to a more virtual presence.

Another tool this broker used was an online document service where his agents would upload their files so the broker can review and sign off. He would also keep track of what was missing.

Good Luck

Darwins Theory of Evolution applies to business.  I think you always need to tweak and change to keep "evolving" with the industry.  The agent that have are still here and still engerized. My son too is Marine Sargent. Correction SON's. Can they take orders and direction, yes, but they also analyse and look for different ways to accomplish the goal.  I would take either on my sons into my business, they are two totally different personalities and we may butt heads on occassion yet once together on a goal their object is to achieve it - and nothing stops a Marine!!!

Best of Luck to you and very very glad you son is home safe and sound! Please expend my thank you for serving.

Hi BB, TLW, and Nathan,

I'm glad Nathan got back home safe and sound, and is ready for Real Estate.

How exciting life is for you!  Not only is your family near by and benefitting from being so close to you, but your business is on the cusp of amazing things.  You are absolutely correct - the internet is going to be the way to get ahead.   You are truly a visionary and it is thrilling that you are sharing some of that vision with us on AR.  There are so many opportunities to expand if you only are open to the possibility.  What is so cool for you is that you have a family that believes in it and will help you accomplish your goals.  I wish you the best and look forward to reading much more about your success.  I am so excited - I am tempted to get my license and move to Florida!
