1 Comments on Planting Your Own Garden Can Be Fun and Cost Effective!
We tried that this past summer. Tons of tomato plants, zucchini, jalepenos, poblanos. (Can you tell I was dreaming about homemade salsa?) After the first harvest of tomatoes, we had a lot of rain and the tomato plants went pffft (due to blight) leaving me with a kazillion peppers I had no idea what to do with. Fortunately, hubby likes pickled jalepenos so I've been canning like crazy.
Oh well - at least we saved money on peppers! And I'll try again next year. There's nothing as yummy as fresh from the garden veggies!
