Active Rain Feature Post ("Or Can't Get Our Picture On The Cover Of The Rolling Stone...")

There are a gizzillion blogs started up on the cyberscape and many of the realtor related ones are fun to read. One I jumped into bounced back and forth with the thread of what Active Rain was all about. Question asked how you become a feature post...answers from one other member indicated it was based on the number of points you accrue. Noooo..that's not true. We've collected a few points with hard work and that's not the secret. In the Maine listings, there is one poster that has not posted a single blog but is 4th in the state in ranking the last time I checked. So like the song goes, "We keep getting richer, but we can't get our picture on the cover of the Rolling Stone...I mean Active Rain!" Keep up the effort Rainers..it's a jungle out there.

Andrew - It looks like you've got a good jump on everyone there in Maine, pointwise, despite not being featured. In the long run, what does it really matter if you never get featured, as long as consumers and potential clients are finding you and giving you opportunities!

This is so true. Some of the post of mine that have been featured are not even the ones I THOUGHT should be featured.

I actually wrote my blog today on CLICKS. CLICKS to me are more important. I will not link to my post today. But cause that is hijacking your post.

If people want to find it they will know how to get to it.

But you are right it is a jungle... but a FUN & INFORMATIVE jungle.
