Carol I know I would not want to encounter one of these creatures.  Very interesting shot.

Carol, That thing would scare the daylights out of me!  I am not good around bugs....or any other uninvited guests.

OMG. This is one time I'm not glad I stopped by to see you. I'm petrified of spiders. Don't know how I survived living in Florida.

Hi Carol... Check out Donna Harris' post today about the tarantula she found on her house.  You two can be spider buddies!

It's not been a good year for spiders here either. I have encountered several black widows but I don't take the time to snap their pictures =)

Hi Carol, Joan Mirantz sent me over to look at your photos. Impressive, to say the least. This spider , is it poisonous? There is a way to tell by looking but I have forgotten how that works.

He's a whopper!  This time of year in our area we see lots of big spiders spinning their webs and catching prey.

Carol,

They weave spectacular webs three feet wide, if I've got the right spider.

Yeah, their scary looking, but at least they're not harmful to humans.  LOL  Oh, and let's not forget the added benefit of having them help us out with those pesky mosquitoes.  Man they do they get on my nerves. LOL
