We see these signs everywhere:  At restaurants, at convenience stores, at McDonalds and at Walmart.....but I say let's expand this theory.

No Shirt No Shoes No ServiceIt's a matter of hygene?

Well sure it is...when I was a teenager working at McDonalds, we could not take an order from someone without shoes and without shirts. (Back then, there were no drive-thru's).

We sure can't show up at the movie theatre with no shirt or shoes and expect that they will let us in....right?

My local grocery store has a sign that says "Shoes Required". So that just might be an insurance/liability issue too.

So....today I hear a local news spot an ordinance in Delry Beach Florida that BANS saggy pants, has NOW been stricken down by a JUDGE who says the ordinance is un-constitutional.

I think we should expand all the old signs, and now make them say:

NO SHIRT, NO SHOES, NO BELT = NO SERVICE !!

Baggy Pants

I am so tired of seeing the saggy pants.             I thought is was a fad, but it sure doesn't seem to be fading away.

I just don't want to see anyone's "under-drawers".

I just don't want to see anyone's boxers or briefs!

Pull Up your Darn Pants !

I wonder if anyone choosing to dress this way might change their habits if they couldn't get a cheeseburger, fries or coke?

                                             What do you think?

Don't you just hope they trip over their sagging pants when you see them walking down the street?

This is just another sign of our moral fiber. When you see them walking down the street, they have to hold their pants with one hand. Maybe we should come up with a law that requires anyone who doesn't understand what a belt was made for to always have to carry something in both hands. That way they could struggle enough to walk that they would get a BELT>>

I say live and let live. When these "low-riders" turn 40 they'll have to get hip surgery to rectify their dysplasia, but anything for style!

Christine - I have been told by a police officer (friend of mine) that they love this never ending fad. It makes it so much easier to chase down the bad guys ;D

I'm with you Christine, I don't want to see it.  Also don't want to see your pajamas in public either.

They tried making this UNLAWFUL in Virginia Beach several years ago and it did not work....I guess my question is doesn't this "style" defeat the purpose of the "fly"?  He has to "pee like a GIRL"!!!

Christine, I never thought I would say this but I some what agree with Richard...live and let live.  Don't get me wrong, I think this is the dumbest thing I've ever seen.  I do hate it and really wonder just how many brain cells remain intact with these individuals.  Do they look in the mirror and think..."wow I look good"?  Anyway, in my teens and early twenties back in the '60 & '70's, I wore some pretty outrageous things...it was the times and every generation has it's "moment".  So, I tend to be a little more understanding of others sense of fashon...however misguided, underdeveloped, inconsiderate, in your face, stupid etc...so I say live and let live...on another planet.

I'd like to hear more from Barbara about the origins of this "fad".

What these young people don't realize is that getting a decent job is hard when you dress like this.  And they are the ones that complaing that they can't get a job!

Like you, I have been surprised at how long this fad has survived.  It is so stupid.

I totally agree with you on wearing your pants around your knees. I know neither of my children will wear their pants in that manner.

BTW, congrats to your Gators in the win over my LSU Tigers. We may still meet later in the season.

Christine, this is so funny!  There are worse things than boxer shorts that could be hanging out of those baggy jeans!

Frank - Nice to hear from you !!  You know our teams will meet again for the SEC game!

Nick & Richard.... Well, I was a teenager in the 70's and remember when my parents thought bell bottom jeans were for "hippies"....So perhaps I have turned into a fuddy-duddy.

Wallace - loved your comment about a "fly"  LOL

Barbara - I didn't know it originated in the prisons.  Good info

Laura - hey I like that theory....they sure can't run with their hand full either...
