New Page 1 How much is my home worth today? That is what many people ask themselves. That's a great question but, unfortunately, most turn to Zillow. com Big problem! So many agents are quick to voice their disdain towards Zillow, myself included, and for good reason. What a tech savvy agent wants to know is why do we hate them so much and can we back up our ill feelings with any data? Yes, their info is inaccurate, which they admit, but what goes into their formula? Where do they get their info and how do they calculate a Zestimate? What info do I have access to as a local agent that even a giant like Zillow does not? If I can't quickly and accurately explain these things to you, and all I do instead is just rely on the old "their terrible" approach (which I am definitely guilty of), then am I really educating you? I just wanted to touch base with you while the market is scary to make sure that you weren't getting really bad information on-line!! I'm sure you are amazed at the visual proof from Zillow's own website. Hopefully you see me not as a sales person calling, rather as a consultant.
