P.A.W.S. CONTEST: Life BEFORE ActiveRain...and NOW

During the Fall Season we think of changing colors and the beauty surrounding us. The fall season is significant of those changes and it's a cooling off period from a hot summer. Just like anything else in life, I made changes in order to succeed.....and that includes being a Member and Ambassador of ActiveRain.

Do you remember what you were doing before you joined ActiveRain? What kind of marketing were you doing? Were you socializing elsewhere regarding real estate? If you've been actively blogging and commenting on ActiveRain then you KNOW how this Real Estate Network has had an impact on your whole life.

I wrote What was MY LIFE like before ActiveRain? My prior posts about ActiveRain over the last few years were all about the business and personal successes. How I made a lot of friends and how I had closed transactions. The successes are a given but what did I do before all this to get me to the point and time of NOW?

The theme of this contest is What Was My Life Like Before ActiveRain and Now?

***Changes occured after you started blogging here on ActiveRain. Tell us your story about what your life and business was life before ActiveRain and when summing up your entry tell us how ActiveRain has made an impact (or what you're hoping you will achieve) on your life, your business and personal relationships.

The POSITIVE ATTITUDE for the Weary Soul was founded by me in June of 2007 to give a ‘safe haven' to those who needed a place to go when the soul got weary.

The following CONTEST RULES are simple rules for this "Life Before ActiveRain and Now" entry and you MUST FOLLOW ALL THE RULES:

Contest starts NOW and ends October 21, 2009, midnight ActiveRain time
Theme: Tell your story of what life was like before ActiveRain and sum up what it's like now. (or what you hope to achieve on this network)
You may submit only ONE entry and it has to be YOUR OWN CONTENT.
Your post must have at least ...either a picture or video for visual appearance and YOUR OWN. (if you didn't buy it, take it or have permission to use it then don't put it up)
Your title has to include the words Before ActiveRain and Now
Your tag line has to include the words Before ActiveRain and Now Contest (look at my tags and title)
Join the group Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul group and Post your entry into the Positive Attitude for the Weary Soul group
You must add your CONTEST ENTRY POST LINK to the comment section of this post.

Okay Sally - I can't remember. Did I have a life before Active Rain? I must have. Hmmm.... I'll put some thought into this.

Woo Hoo, I have a question, " Was there even life before ActiveRain" ? I think I can answer that. "There was. It was just different then. Way Way different".

I will come back each day and try to list one way that life was different. So that is 15 ways at 25 points = 375 points. Woo Hoo!

I'm pretty new here, so I really don't have a life before AR story, neither do I have a best memory yet and I've also had a featured post, (actually 2), which means I don't get to take part in the newbie contest either...Anyone listening??

Of course, looking on the bright side, there'll be some cool posts to look out for letting me know why sticking to blogging on AR is a good idea!!

Was there such thing as life before Active Rain? Once something becomes ingrained, it's hard to remember what it was like before. It'll be an interesting contest for sure.

I think I use to do laundry and clean house BEFORE. Now I just order more clothes online & have them delivered.

Good Morning Sally, I've been away for several weeks and struggling to get back in the groove. This is just what I need to get back active here in the Rain.

Life pre-AR was rubbing elbows with a couple of dozen agents that are no longer in the business. Wish I could say that my business has quadrupled but truth is i am hanging in there while others are giving up. My numbers are about the same as they were a couple of years ago and I consider this amazing compared to what is going on in our area. Count me in, I feel an emotional post coming soon. be good cw

Sally, I just joined the group and have one question about the contest; does the video have to be something I made or can I get it from YouTube??

You know Sally I've thought about entering lots of contests here in the rain. I've pondered those posts and never really found it easy. But today I thought... I'm going to do this, so I started with the part of the title required, the tag line, of course I'm already a member of your group and then it just flowed out of me ... I think my entry is a bit long. I finally just had to stop myself from typing. Thanks for this contest. There are things I wanted to say and you gave me the nudge I needed to say them. I said each day I would return with a point about how life has changed since joining ActiveRain. Here is today's point.

Day# 4. After Brad Andershon wrote a post last year about the Flip video camera, I had to have one. I haven't used it in months but I just got it out and I had forgotten why I wasn't using it. I was using a Tablet PC and I simply ran out of hard drive space. (Video can take up a lot of memory ) Now with a 350 Gbt hard drive on my Mac, I need to start using this FLIP again. So this weekend, I will take it out and show you some events taking place this weekend.
