Without being invited, the federal government has been busy working toward more home sale and mortgage rules and regulations.

When stuff like this happens, I often wonder why the National Association of Realtors and its huge membership isn't in their pitching a fit.  We certainly ought to be able to carry more weight in matters like this because of our expertise.

Instead, we have people who know very little about our business working to tell us how it would be better run.

In this case, with the new energy savings requirement, how will most of America sell its homes?

Bob Gray, Jr., who is one of my mortgage broker friends, sent me an analysis of what these new rules will mean to us.  I can't offer that analysis to you here since it is copyrighted, but I can give you the proposed bill for you to look at yourself.

And I suggest you do it, and that you express your opinion, whether for or against.
