One of the blessings that I find with social media and networking is the plethora of wonderful, fun and thought-provoking quotations that people share.  Here are the ones that I have enjoyed over the past week. I particularly like Anne Frank's and Albert Einstein's (and have seen too often lately,, how very true Albert's can be!)

"Be organized. Most of the missed opportunities lay in the pile of papers on your desk." - Steve Jenkins

"The culture you choose to associate with is the environment you choose to perpetuate." - Anon

"The kind of humor I like is the thing that makes me laugh for five seconds and think for ten minutes. - William Davis

"Think and talk about the solutions. Followers think and talk about the problems." - Brian Tracy

"Between stimulus and response, there is a gap.  It is in that gap that you have the power to choose your response" - Stephen Covey

"Without ambition, one starts nothing. Without work, one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"The fastest way to improve your relationships is to make others feel important in every way possible." - Brian Tracy

"When faced with the decision to be right or to be kind, choose kind." - Anon

"If the world was perfect, it wouldn't be." Yogi Berra

"Faith is taking the 1st step even when you don't see the whole staircase" Martin Luther King

"No one has ever become poor by giving." Anne Frank

"I was thrown out of college for cheating on a metaphysics exam. I looked into the soul of the boy sitting next to me." - Woody Allen

'During times of trouble, we often ask, "Why is this happening to me?" How often do we ask the same question during times of blessing?' - Andy Andrews

"An intellectual snob is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture and not think of the Lone Ranger." - Dan Rather

"We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"You must do the things you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt

"Nurture your mind with great thoughts, for you will never go any higher than you think." - Benjamin Disraeli

"The best way out is always through." Robert Frost

"Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed." - Booker T. Washington

"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." - Plato

"Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer. Get excited and enthusiastic about your own dream. This excitement is like a forest fire - you can smell it, taste it, and see it from a mile away. " - Denis Waitley.

"Youth cannot know how age thinks and feels. But old men are guilty if they forget what it was to be young." - J.K. Rowling

I am also a lover of quotes. I used to keep a special note book just for great quotes I would run across. I used to refer to them allot when I was in sales.

Here are a few for your collection.

DESIRE without EXPECTATION is merely WISHFUL THINKING (Bob Proctor seminar 1988)

"Mediocrity is self-inflicted and genius self-bestowed." (Walter Russel)

"Are you in earnest? Seize this very minute; What you can do, or dream you can do, begin it!

Boldness has genius, power and magic in it;

Only engage and then the mind grows heated;

Begin, and then the work will be completed." (Goethe)

Hope these are new to your collection.

Regards; Kimberley

Rick - loved all your quotes but this one stood out for me today

'During times of trouble, we often ask, "Why is this happening to me?" How often do we ask the same question during times of blessing?' - Andy Andrews

When everyting is going fine we often think it is our doing and therfore know the answer and do not ask the question.

When it is not we think it is someone else's doing and ask the question.

Andy Andrews is one of my heros.  His book "The Traveler's Gift" is a huge influence in my life and his latest book "The Noticer" is a very worthy read.

Uh-oh. I just found out that Dan Rather thinks of me as an intellectual snob. Well, maybe I never cared for him, either! LOL

Hey Rick, just how did old Albert know then what it would be like now and be so right!  However, Steve Jenkins nails it!
