With over 12 events filling the calendar this weekend Wake Forest NC is going to be rocking as only we know how to do!
Art After Hours ushers in the weekend with a fab artist spotlighted! ED HARDY! No, not the Ed Hardy that Jon Gosselin pimps......THIS ED HARDY.......
Ed Hardy is not ONLY a local artist but an art instructor as well! He focuses on people and social environments.
His work will be on display that The Cotton Company in historic downtown Wake Forest NC Friday, October 9 - stop by and meet him! There will also be framed canvas works available for purchase.
The Artist Reception and Wine Tasting will be from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

Right down the street from The Cotton Company you will find Sunflower Studio and Gallery! Another fantabulous artist, Judy Stines, will be having an open reception as well! For an extra special treat at Sunflower Studio and Gallery the will be live music - Mister Felix! They have a versatile mix of originals and familiar cover that are going to appeal to all ages!

Saturday, October 10 brings the always wonderful local Wake Forest NC Farmers Market. This local market is always brimming with fresh produce, homemade jams and jellies and little surprises tucked in here and there! Don't forget to stop by Wake Forest Coffee Company for your morning java before perusing the goodies! Tell Albert hello!!!
After the Farmer's Market you can head over to the Wake Forest NC Community Tag Sale at The Factory. I blogged about it (of course) and you can read about it here! There will also be a Bake Sale there by the Woman's Club - superb yummies for sure!!!!

There is also the Paws For Life 5K-9 Road Race sponsored by the Franklin County Humane Society! Registration begins at 8:30am and the Race starts at 10am!
There will also be a Micro-Chip Clinic at 9:00am ($10) AND a 1 mile Dog Walk that begins at 10:15am.

Yep - Wake Forest NC will be hosting it's annual Autumn Arts Festival this weekend! This is a HUGE event that draws crowds from all over the region! Check out the line up here!
The Autumn Arts Festival 2009 will run from 10am - 5pm in historic downtown Wake Forest NC.

Operation Christmas Child Motorcycle Ride
Saturday, Oct. 10; 9 am (Registration) 10 am (Ride)
LifeStyle Ministries, 218 S. White St., Wake Forest
All motorcycles are welcome to join the LifeStyle Ministries Operation Christmas Child Ride. The motorcycle ride is a fundraiser for Samaritans Purse/Operation Christmas Child, an organization that sends shoe boxes filled with toys and other items to underprivileged children around the world for Christmas. Pancake & Sausage Breakfast
Sunday, Oct. 11; 8 am - 1 pm
American Legion Hall, 225 E. Holding Ave., Wake Forest
American Legion Post 187 will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast on the second Sunday of each month at the Legion Hall, across from the Wake Forest Post Office. All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, orange juice and choice of hot beverage for only $5 per person/$20 max per family. Proceeds support community and veterans projects.
