According to the Business Journal, Texas is ranked as number four in the top ten states to live in. Of course if you asked a native Texan they would say Texas is the only state to live in! We have a little bit of everything for everybody: beaches, deserts, mountains, big cities, and small towns. Texas is home to both NASA, cowboys and everything in between. If you can't find what you want in Texas, you are just not looking hard enough! Austin Texas is consistantly in every top ten list of places that people want to move to.

"The Lone Star State is one of the most attractive in the nation, according to a new poll.

Texas came in at No. 4 on the poll that looked at where people want to live, according to a Harris Interactive poll.

"The most popular states and cities where large numbers of people would like to live tend to attract tourists and business," according to a release from Harris. "They are places where people like to take vacations and where companies like to have their offices and factories."

Coastal states tend to dominate the list. California ranked No. 1 for the sixth year in a row as the place Americans would like to live. Florida came in second and Hawaii was third." (Personally I find this number hard to beleive as I would move to Hawaii in a heartbeat! Well maybe just for a little while.)

Dear Jeremy,

Thanks for dropping by! I am sure homes are still moving out in Dripping Springs too. I just closed one out there in July. Please say hello to Gary Steele for me. He sold me my very first home in Austin almost 20 years ago!

Hello Betina,  cudos to Austin.  I've only been there once on a short business trip, and it seemed like a very energetic city.  John

Dear Sharon,

It sounds like you need a road trip! Austin is not that far, you can drive it in about 20 hours. Southwest Airlines is running some great deals on airfare. Come on down for a visit!
