Bet you didn't know THIS about New York City:  by Feng Shui New York Consultants

I love eating out in New York City.  I believe we have some of the finest restaurants in the world.  There are SO many choices, sometimes it's difficult to decide.  The Rainbow Room remains one of my all time favorites; the live music and the view are unparallel to any other.

Tavern on the Green in Central Park is always a delight.  The recently re-opened Oak Room in the Plaza Hotel is another outstanding restaurant as well as The Boathouse Restaurant in Central Park.

I still miss Rumplemeyer's which was a New York City Institution.  It was famous for its ice cream and the first time I walked inside and saw the prices, I thought NO ice cream could possibly be THAT good.  I was wrong!  I have never found a place that compared to Rumplemeyer's, not even Serendipity (made famous by the movie).

What to do if you don't have the money for these costly "experiences" in Fine Dining in NYC?  Just head downtown to Mc Donald's on Broad Street!

NYC Restaurant by Feng Shui Manhattan Laura Cerrano

A Multi-Level Dining Experience and there is live music by someone who plays a Baby Grand Piano This Mc Donald's restaurant is the most romantic in the World.  People go there to propose-on a budget : )  You won't break the bank (and there are enough of them close by, at any rate!) as it has the same prices as any other Mc Donald's.

It's one of those places that is found Only in New York City!

Hi Carole...even familiar places take on a special feeling when they are located in NYC.  It's the magic of "The City".

Carole,

By the way, a very nicely done background and banner. Really very good one. Classy. I do not see many of that on AR

Carole somehow I never equated romance with McDonald.  This McDonald though does look much different from others.  Thanks for sharing tidbits about NYC.

Carole, I remember seeing this McDonald on TV, they suggest young couple to take their date to enjoy an inexpensive romantic "dinner" there.  Isn't that nice?

Well, you have to give credit to McDonalds for out of the box thinking. It would be interesting to hear of some couples that got engaged there.

The baby grand and music playing would be wonderful. Not sure about the engagement thing.

I don't know Carole. Marriage proposals and filet-o-fish just don't seem to go together to well.

ewww!

Hey, next time you're in NYC, check out Moran's on 10th Ave between 18th and 19th sts. Great food. Great atmosphere.

Well, only in New York. :)  I can't believe it. A ROMANTIC McDonald's.  I wonder if their filet tastes better than all the other ones too. :)

Definitely worth a visit when I'm in New York, even if all I have from there is their fries. :)

Carole:  I've heard of all of these restaurants and that's one of the things I really envy about New York City.  I do love to dine out and what better place than New York City.  Even your McDonalds is spectacular.  I had no idea McDonalds could provide such ambience with the Baby Grand.  You live in a fascinating city.

Steve, It really is, even the most ordinary things can be extraordinary :)

Jon, Thank you for the complement. The heading was designed by Marti Garaughty.  He also designed my daughters web site...he did a wonderful job!

Jennifer, This McDonald's has its very own grand piano and when you go inside they serve you as if your in a fancy restaurant :)

Rita, I agree....plus its a bit on the creative/fun side and you get music with a side order of fries :)

C Tann, We most diffidently can meet up...how about the classy McDonald's? LOL Let me know where and when :)

Kris, me too... I'm lovin it :) I would love to sit in for a meal and hear the sounds of that small grand piano.

Missy, I wouldn't doubt that thought..in NYC anything is possible...maybe even getting married at that McDonald's.

Craig,  Maybe the Filet-o-fish sauce wont work, but the Big Mac special sauce...now that will seal the deal :)

Hannah, Your welcome, Phillie should get on that...have a classy McDonald's with catering :)

Sylvie, I would bet they do taste better with the whole presentation of it all :) Next time I'm in the city this will have to be a stop when its time to eat :)

Joan M, Yes..Yes it is!! The Tavern on the Green and just like many other restaurants unfortunately can't stay a pace with the economy :/

Linda, When your really hungry it's so satisfying to have the classic burger and fries with a soft drink :) Simple can be better.

Donna, New York City is always full of surprises no matter how many times you go back or if you live there.

Joan W, Anything is possible in the city that never sleeps :)

Carole - You are very fortunate to live in New York City.  When I visited there last year, I was only in the city for a day.  However, I had the sense (especially in Times Square), that NYC is the heartbeat of the world.

I plan to go back one day and spend more time.  Tavern on the Green is one of those places I've heard about, and would love to experience.

And do they have some local specialties there?  I notice the menu changes a little depending on the location.  We can get Spam or Portuguese sausage at ours.

Hi Carole, I have never heard of a romantic McDonald's. I would certainly be interested in seeing it sometime, it sounds beautiful.  Too funny!

Hi Carole,

Now I know the place to eat if I ever visit New York City!!!  I hope I wouldn't utter something like this as I stepped into that fancy two story, baby grand establishment:

"Wow, this place would sure hold a lot of hay!!!!!!!"

Carole--You can even make Mickey D's sound romantic! Can't eat anything there but a McFlurry anymore after too many Happy Meals when the kids were younger...glad they outgrew the attraction of this place but would want to stop in at this one!

Hello Carole--Yes, McDonald's is a favorite when we travel, but I can't imagine myself eating there in NYC. It is interesting to know that people go there to propose.  It is nice to visit here again.  Mary

Myrl, I love the City, it really is fabulous!  You do need to spend some time here not just to see it but to experience it.

Mike, I didn't think anyone would know Rumplemeyers.  The BEST ice cream I've ever had :)

Gabriela, I'd say NYC has some of the best restaurants...The Rainbow Room is fabulous.

Georgina, They have added some "healthy" things to the menus but we don't have specials here :(

Candice, It is cool and it's hard to imagine they would make a Mc Donalds "classy."  But the one in Chicago is outstanding-they have a museum!

Bill, It is, trust me.  And fits right in with the Economy :)

Sandy, Who would have thought?   Only in New York City!

Bruce, Too funny.  I wouldn't have expected it, either.

Morgan, You've got the address---and you'll probably get better photos :)

Teri, It's fun just to see it.  A "classy" Mc Donalds.  It's a fun place to visit and there are SO many other places you can eat here.

Kate, You would love the Mc Donalds in Chicago if you ever go there...it's fabulous, it has a museum.

Grace, It seems you'd have to go back to Tavern on the Green for those very special memories!  It's an amazing place.

Liz, You wouldn't get much sleep.  There's too much going on.  If you want to go out at 3am, things are OPEN.  It's one of those places where you come home exhausted but don't want to miss a minute.

Mercedes, I love it.  And it seems to be that way with NYC, people either love it..or hate it.

Colleen, Next time I go downtown I certainly will.  I'm sure she loves being in Manhattan!

Al & Peggy, I'm not sure Jim has heard....Not many people have but they did do a short show about it a few years back.

Mary, I wouldn't go for the food but the atmosphere is very unique.  It's hard to believe you're in a Mc Donalds.

Hi, Carole:

I avoid McDonald's on principle. But if I find myself in the area, I'll go check it out and order an Egg McMuffin. It's the only thing I can stand.

Cheers,

Robin

Carole, that definitely sounds like the most romantic McDonald's I've ever heard of! A baby grand...wow! :)

Leilani

P.S. My dogs love the McDonald's drive-thru because they offer doggie biscuits...and yes, they get a plain hamburger sometimes, too. I usually get iced coffee. :)

Wow it sounds like quite an experience! We used to have a McDonald's that was completely decorated in Elvis memorabilia and we called it, of course, the "Elvis McDonald's". They even had a life-sized replica of the King. The remodeled the McDonald's last summer but I haven't been on the inside to see if they still have the Elvis decor.
