This week has been, and will be, nuts.

There have been out of town clients, a ton of admin things to take care of, a 24 hour trip to San Jose to participate in a blogging panel at the California Association of REALTORS Convention, and now all the excitement of my daughter's wedding on Saturday.

That means out of town guests arriving already, getting the house in order, a barbecue at our house tomorrow night, the wedding on the beach in Cardiff in the late afternoon on Saturday, followed by a reception at the Four Seasons Aviara in Carlsbad, a catered brunch on Sunday at our house, and who knows what else. There is some more food to cook for company, a bit of shopping, and last-minute to dos.

There are clients who are looking to spend time right after the weekend looking at homes, a couple new referrals, follow-up with some out-of area-buyers, and things to do that probably don't deserve mentioning.

All that said, I probably need to sign off now for the next several days and not comment or write. THAT will be a major challenge. But, there are much more important things to do and think about.

I'm jazzed about the next 48 hours. And getting emotional about it as well. After all, it's not often that your older daughter gets married.

I may pop in and out. Or I may not. I hope you understand. More on the festivities later.

Here's the beach where the ceremony will be - gotta work up that appetite for dinner

Gary, what a wonderful excuse to take off a few days from blogging.  But somehow, I can see you with one of those tiny wee laptops writing comments during the reception!  Have a wonderful day with your family!

ALL:

Yeah, I know, I should not be here but had a few moments and wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes. Things are moving right along, the weather is gorgeous so the beach ceremony will be great. I promised my daugher that I would NOT be texting or emailing during the ceremony. I may go one step further and leave my phone at home, or at least in the car.

It's been pretty emotional already with a party last night at our house and some special moments shared with everyone. Most of us fully expect to be a bit teary eyed this afternoon.

And I put in an offer in on a short sale property yesterday in the midst of all this (out of town buyers who are leaving today. I hope that is a good omen.

More later...

Hi Jeff,

It was a pleasure to meet you in San Jose.  Enjoyed the blogging panel very much.  Congrats on the wedding.  I just learned my son is getting married, possibly at Christmastime!

Take care,

Nevin - sorry I am just getting back here to respond. It WAS great. hard to believe a week has gone by already.

Karen - so glad you came by to meet personally and talk. Glad you enjoyed the panel - it was great fun. R U coming to N.A.R. in San Diego?

Charles - it was a blast. But too short a trip. Had a great dinner at Il Fornaio but most of my time was spent indoors at Tech Tuesday. I would love to go back and spend more time exploring the downtown area.

Jeff
