Yup...this is RAW video....wind noise, car stereo, tunnel echoes and all!  Take a ride with us over the H-3 Freeway from Kaneohe and look down from the Koolau Mountains to Kaneohe Bay. Getting close to the tunnels you'll see motorcyles passing us (I think I would have had a good video shot of what not to do hundreds of feet in the air on this 'bridgelike' freeway lanes.

Majestic ridges of the mountains and ocean below.... take your breath away ......Enjoy!

You may want to turn your sound down....it's noisy at times :)

It's a long one but there are views and ooo's and ahhhh's throughout... When you see the motorcyles pass us look at the structure of the freeway....needless to say you really don't want to go off the side :)

My wife and I were there last October.  We had a great time in the Honolulu area.  We especially enjoyed china town and the palace.

Sally, Beautiful mountain scenes. Audio could use some work though. If you had a MAC, you could have stripped the audio track and replaced it with music or some other audio clip...

Helping you live your American dream...

I've been through that tunnel. Boy that brought back some memories. It was fun watching the sky change throughout the video. Sun to rain and back in minutes.

Sally,

Great views of the mountains as well as the ocean.

And, all this time I thought the big thing about Hawaii was the weather!

Kathryn: Always the case here....we can drive down the freeway with it raining on one side and the opposite direction clear...

Fernando: Save your pennies :)

Bill: I've lived all over the world and actually born in Rhode Island and came here at age 10 in '67. Of course I am a long time resident....:) :)  My husband came in 97 and didn't go back to PA. Must be something about this place :)

I lived in Hawaii for almost 10 years * My mother thought you could drive from island to island from a United Airlines map she saw.....going over the Likelike Hwy and the Pali were ALWAYS thrilling * I lived in Lanikai and drove to downtown daily - it was really cool * especially when they put the shades on the street lights to make the poinsettas bloom!!

Thanks for the memories

Sally that is one long tunnel. I don't think that I would like to be in a tunnel for that length of time :)

Sally,

I have Comcast Cable, but the video kept hiccuping along as it downloaded.  What's up with that?

I have yet to have the opportunity to visit your great state, but at some point I will certainly have to do just that.

Mike: Probably your internet...  internet can only go as fast as your internet...or maybe it was YouTube hiccuping. We have roadrunner turbo something or other but comcast is supposed to be way better. So what's up with that?   :)

JL: Just remember that lunch is on me ...hey...you should come for a second honeymoon :)

I may need to have a tums now.  It was beautiful, but I have car sickness and I'm feeling it now.  And who knew there was an interstate highway on an island that is not conntected to any other state?  I posted you a couple of my favorite chicken recipies.

Sally- What fun was that! I love RAW video- will all the noises. It makes me know it is the real deal. What memories this brought back to me from living in Kaneohe and having to go to downtown from there. AH, those mountains, how I miss them. It is funny how your Gary did not go back. My x went to Hawaii on his way to Australia and never boarded the connecting flight. There is something about the islands that makes you want to stay. I take about 20 minutes each week to plan for my return:) My second son is looking for a chef position in Hawaii right now. He has a head hunter searching for him- if you ever hear of any one. I know that Trump has a new project in Waikiki and he is looking for a chef for his new restaurant there- my son is sending his resume to him. He is a very good chef with a great reputation. I think he will be in Hawaii before me. My third son- as soon as he gets his brokers license here- he will get his license in Hawaii and is planning on getting there also:)
