100,000 Points! Today's the Day

Yep, today's the day I reach the 100,000 point mark. In fact, it will happen with this post. Why does this matter if "it's not about the points?"

It's not the 100,000 points in and of themselves that are important but it's what they represent. They are a clear and factual representation of a commitment. A commitment to post every day, a commitment to comment every day, a commitment to learn and grow as a professional Real Estate Agent.

At the end of every day - whether good or bad, I can look at my points and say, I did this. I kept my commitment. I did what I said I was going to do.

Besides, it's been FUN. Participating in the community business contest and then the 'series' contest was great and pushed me in new directions.

I love 'meeting' new folks, hearing different opinions and finding out what is happening in the rest of the country. I'm grateful for the generous spirit that seems to be so much a part of Active Rain. What can I say? I'm a happy AR camper!

This is a great accomplishment and you are right it proves a commitment to staying active in your daily communications. I have recently seen the benefits of this and I too am committing to a daily goal to build my business and just meet new friends. Thanks for sharing your achievement and good luck in getting to 200,000.

I totally agree. It IS about the points. Those points represent just what you spoke about...commitment. There is so much great, great information on ActiveRain, I hate when I miss a day, which I very rarely do, but it is a great place to meet and mingle with our peers, learn and grow as real estate professionals. COngrats on the 100K mark

Michael, congratulations on your accomplishment! I'm only beginning this journey, and I keep finding reasons not to post (my idea isn't clever enough, I don't have anything exciting to say, I don't have enough photos or clip art, yada yada) I just need to make the commitment to do what you did - write every day. I'm guessing that it all starts getting easier!
