Of Course We Can't Hold Lenders and Investors Responsible For This Mess. Thank You JP for Giving Me Fresh Fodder For My Daily Post

So if I'm interpreting you post correctly the poor banks are the victims here. They didn't seduce any naive Americans into borrowing money they could never repay? They didn't create a Nationwide feeding frenzy of unqualified borrowers rushing to partake in that great American Dream?

it's only natural and instinctive to want to be a homeowner in America. Of course anyone in their right minds would want to own a home if they only had someone who would loan them the money. The banks and lenders that participated in this gold rush mentality didn't have any second thoughts about lending the money to borrowers they knew would never be able to repay the loan. Now that they've lent, lent, lent America into oblivion they don't want to accept any of the negative fallout.

Investors (and I'm one of them) demand a return on their investment at any cost. I think the whole thing stinks all the way around and it can all be narrowed down to one word easy for all of us to understand.........GREED!!

Shame on lenders who force fed millions into loans they could never afford, shame on our government for giving the financial institutions the incentive to enable the banks to give the money away and shame on the borrowers naive or not for taking money they new they could never repay.

Now we can shame the government for sucking the taxpayers dry while floundering and failing miserably for a way to correct the mess where in and shame on every voter and non-voter in America for sticking their heads in the sand for the past few decades while we were swiftly sucking the fruits of our once great and powerful country dry.

It's all about pointing fingers and blame, blame, blame. No one wants to accept any responsibility for their actions. They just want to find a scape goat somewhere that they can hang from the nearest tree. Problem is there aren't enough trees on this planet.

Wake up America. The gig is over. Time to rebuild by replacing the idiots who governed us into this mess while we still have a voting privilege. Or should we just stick our heads in the sand and let this ObamaNation have us all for breakfast, lunch, dinner, desert and aperitifs. And above all JP thank you for giving me fresh fodder for my daily post.

There is no shortage of people to blame.  However, those home buyers on crazy loans were not necessarily force fed these loans.  It was easy money, and people wanted to believe.  Next time something sounds too good to be true, I hope we'll turn on our brains and do some thinking.
