I was really in a hurry to show property because my grandchildren were coming to visit. They knew I could be late and had a key to the house if I was. My son and my daughter are very aware that if I am working I cannont guarentee that I will be done at a certain time.

I know this too. My buyers had appointments to look at homes. It seemed that every home that they saw there was another for sale close by that we drove by. So I would call get a price see if it was in their price range and we would add more homes to our list.

We found one they loved and wanted to think about it. I was so greatful I didn't have to write and offer, then I though you know what could happen, so I gave them the speech, someone that looked at it yesterday could make an offer etc.

Well they still wanted to wait, YEAH, I got to go home to my family. But I was laughing at myself on the way home, because without business where would I be and I always try to do the right thing.

Terri,

I agree, it is a tough one. We want so badly to take good care of our clients, sometimes our family needs us too. I think you handled it great! I think they forget that we have families sometimes. It is tough to balance both sometimes.

Enjoy the Weekend you deserve it!

It can definitely be frustrating being torn between work (mostly clients who need us at a specific time) and our family's need for our time too.  I have a seller right now who is so difficult - she wants me to be available almost 24-7 regardless of what is going on with my family (and my other clients).  We have to be sure to set limits so that our clients don't walk all over us - but our family also has to be understanding of our crazy work schedule.
