This weekend in Oakhurst, at the Community Park is the annual

Wine and Chocolate Festival.

It's Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10-11 from 10am to 5 pm.

Besides great chocolate treats and different varieties of wine to sample, many local restaurants are also preparing delicious taste treats.

Dream Redesigns and Home Staging Oakhurst CA Our Sierra Lions Club is sponsoring the chocolate fountain booth so drop by between 11-2 on Saturday and mention that you saw this blog on Active Rain and I will give you a free chocolate dip. Don't forget to ask for Ginger.

Hi Sharon, I dipped more things in chocolate today than you can imagine. It was fun but exhausting. WE, the dippers in the booth, made a great discovery. Jalapeno Dorito chips drizzled with milk chocolate. Doesn't sound so good does it, BUT it was a BIG hit and yummy. Crispy with smooth, salty with sweet...I think we discovered a new fattening treat. Thanks for always stopping by and commenting!

Maureen, it was fun watching people taste. The ladies, with a glass of red wine in hand, almost always went for the dark chocolate. The men and kids went for the milk chocolate.
